  • did u sing this song your self?

  • does this mean that WoW will run smoothly on my MacBook Black?

  • wow is gay!!

  • This is cool, but the song is some stereotypical country song..... I am clawing at my eardrums

  • yes!!!! this means i am going to def be able to run wow on my macbook. ran 10 day free trial but wanted to make sure

  • god awful video song makes me want to throw up, tip, pick a different song next time lol

  • om this is so old

  • I thought people with mac books had brains enough not to play that awful game.

  • @IKillLittlegirls I think everyone can decide how to pass their times. This game isn't so bad at all.

  • @mangaeva yea it kind of sucks.

    pretty basic MMORPG

  • I can't tell if its running good or bad

  • strange thing with WoW is that it could run pretty good with the crappiest of vid cards and with just 1 gig of memory

  • @kilkolio that's not really the case anymore.. :P Orgrimmar used to lagg pretty good, regardless of computor.. Same with Shattrath, now entire Northrend can't be played on 1 gig RAM and a crappy Vid card.. Fact.. :P

  • WoW can run smoothly on about anything. I had a little PC laptop that only had 1GB of RAM and it ran as smooth. Just keep shadows low and you'll be cool.

  • pre-tbc FTW

  • are macs better for running games??

  • Comment removed

  • no they really arent, but they can run most video games just fine. Macs aren't compatible with many popular games such as Left 4 Dead, Counterstrike, Teamfortress2. But they run the games they can play just fine.

  • that is not true.. macs have someting called bootcamp that can run windows, it actually runs windows better than any other pc (a study was done), and than you can p,ay anything you can on windows.

  • @nickothompson Uh, yeah. Good luck playing any high-end game. I built my own computer for about $700 (including the 20'' monitor.) A brief list of the setup consists a decent mid-size tower filled with a quad-core processor with 8GB of RAM, a nVidia GeForce 9800 GTX videocard, and holding a 800GB hard-drive. So..why would I care to get a Mac that is x2 the price and less specs?

  • @withthedragon - Did you fuck buy a computer for that price. 8GB of ram (ddr2 or ddr3) will atleast cost you $230. Then your 20 inch monitor will cost about $150, (Looking expensive so far?) You a re sad lying little prick. Go get a life you fag!

  • This video is from 2006.. There's a MacBook that JUST got on the market, with the latest Nvidia graphics. WoW should be running perfectly smooth on the new MacBook 13"

  • 'Fine' isn't true..

I have one of the 13" macbook pro's with the nvidia 9400m graphics and even on minimum the game is just a slideshow in Dalaran and some other places.. I'ts being choppy all the time :(

  • Really ? How many gigs ram does it have?

  • @EmptyCareCup

About 2 gigs, I have recently upgraded it to 4 but no big changes.

Blizzard also released a new OpenGL system in the last patch (3.3) which declared the game completely unplayable on my MacBook, even with everything on lowest, I mail Blizzard and asked the Support forums but I'm getting no sign of this being fixed any way.

I froze my account and went playing Aion, I can play that game fine on Bootcamp with maximum settings an over 30 FPS. WoW has a terrible game engine..

  • Gotta agree on the failgine, can't be right that an environmentalgraphics game like CoD can run perfectly fine, but my computer can't keep wow lagfree in Dalaran. But i actually thoguht the 4gigs woudl work. I guess mac isn't much of a wow system

  • remember this video is about 3 years old, the computer is much better now.

  • is this the Stock "white" macbook? If so how does it run and what grapics setting is it on? Please reply

  • I have a question...where is the link for world of warcraft after you download it to a mac...(i dont own a mac its just a curious question)

  • anyone know the FPS hes got?

  • I have a 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+, 2.29GHz, 2,5GB RAM, ATI Radeon X1200 series, Windows XP

Will WoW work nicely and smoothely on my computer?

  • wow works on allmost any computer produced after 2004, its not a high quality grapich or special effects game, it more for the actual gameplay

  • it doesnt work on my desktop well and i got it in 2008! :( and i got it to play games.

  • yes, just make you have a good internet connection, otherwise it won't matter how much power you have, it'll still produce a choppy image from lag

  • whats the point?

  • This is very nice but I wanted to know if the internet has something to do with the smoothness and if it does what internet speed do you have?

  • good question??

  • well it makes a difference if you arent running broadband. If you are then if you have a slow broadband connection you might have a problem in capital cities where there are several other players

  • u cant upload mac software on a PC the software is designed to work only on macs

  • There is a Mac client for this software. Also, you can run the PC version with boot camp and Windows.

  • visa-versa

  • rocknroll, its not about the software. its about the hardware, like the processors.

  • I'm about to transfer to mac, however, it annoys me that for windows it's £9.99 and for mac it's still £33.00! :(

I'll have to cancel my subscription until I can afford to actually buy the game!

    Ha.

  • that is weird, in the US the software is universal. Once you buy it, it works with both pc and mac

  • Can't you use boot camp!?

  • WTF are you talking about? All blizzard games can be installed on Mac and PC it's one and the same game... There is no such thing as an WoW Mac version and a WoW PC version...

  • @PieterKroon yes there is versions

it's same game but diffrent versions even when u download they ask if it's for PC or mac

  • @Pisces505 Yes, that's true, but I meant to say that the same CD/DVD's kan install both on Mac and PC. On the other hand, when you download the game, you have to choose for either Mac or PC because you'd otherwise download too much.

  • @Pisces505 Yes, that's true, but when you buy the game in the store, it will work on both Mac and PC, you don't have to use different CD's :) I was shocked by my use of WTF two years ago, lol.. what a comment... XD

  • lol mage. :P

Just kidding. My wife plays a mage so everyone that has a mage, I have to give them crap for it.

  • thts awsome dude =D runs ded smoothly but does it run ok in LAGFORGE ! or Shattrah ? coz the comp i used to have used to lag like a biach wen it used to go into IF.

    GO GNOMES =D

  • is this the earlier 2006 generation macbooks that came with tiger? because that's what i have... and it has the intelGMA950 64mb built in video card. is this the same? cause i'm about to play wow on it.

  • I also have MacBook with a Intel GMA 950 64mb build-in video card,

the mid-2007 model and came with Mac OS X Tiger, I upgraded to Mac OS X Leopard in Feb 2008

    WoW works perfect on it

(should also work perfectly on Mac OS X Tiger)

  • i'm not that amazing with macs or pcs but does any1 know if i was to just buy world of warcraft and a BLACK macbook would i be able to run wow on it once its all setup?

  • Yep, once you install WoW on your macbook it should run flawlessly. If not, create a account on the warcraft website and download the free mac trial then log in with your full account.

    Hope this helps, cya :).

  • I think Ill just buy a Macbook pro instead of a alienware because the macs look fine running wow. and Im going to need a macbook anyways when I go to college

  • Hey, I'm replacing my desktop comp with MacBook Pro - my main concern was running WoW on it.

Had a look at Alienware, sure it's cheaper - but myehhhh :P

Give us a yell once you get WoW up on your MBPro and how it runs etc.

  • great fucking music man. one of the best bands.

  • Macs seem pretty decent at gaming to me.

  • EVEN BETTER THAN vISTA, CUZ U DON HAVE TO GET 4gB OF rAM FOR GENTHAT QUALITY

  • Gerard, before you reply to something, know what you are saying. You can run Warcraft that well with 2Gb on a vista system. In actual fact, the only thing that seperates mac memory from memory which PCs use is that Apple makes their memory but PCs buy it from another company. Also, Leopard or Tiger is not better than Vista in mostways because Vista has all the Games !

  • is that undead hord that got in the town? lol

  • I heart that there isnt a graphic card in a normal macbook is that treu?

  • There is one, but it's integrated. It's either an Intel GMA950 or an Intel X3100, depending on how new your macbook is.

  • Looks pretty good. I'm getting the Pro here soon. Also don't the icons for WoW at the bottom remind you of the very similar icons for the Mac OSX?

  • thats awesome

  • i have that same computer and WoW runs perfectly but sometimes WoW freezes and then a few seconds later its normal do u know how to make that stop?

  • ok how do i swim under water with the amacbook

  • i have the black macbook and it works perfect on it

  • It is not configured with the maximum graphics right? It doesn't see so far in the screen

  • wtf this song is so retarded lol.

  • it looks like it's running pretty good, but I bet you've got everything turned down to lowest settings.

  • how much did that laptop cost

  • the current base model costs about $1,100. you could probably get one equivalent to this one from the Apple store re-certified for about $800-900. I've just been shopping around for macbooks this week, so that's why i know. I thought they seemed kind of expensive until I compared them feature to feature to any brand X... the price is actually fairly competitive... if it had better GPU it would be the perfect laptop.

  • im geting a macbook and i have a trial account on wow and i may start playing. but i need a good computer

  • thats the most stupid song i ever heard. Next time don't put a song in. -.-

  • is this the macbook pro or the other 1

  • Normal one it looks like.

  • omg some idiot said to me that counter strike couldint on that macbook. but WOW can so i think CSS can !! :D

  • y u so dumb

  • CSS isn't made for OS X.

  • How would this run on my macbook? i mean i dont mind if it lags alittle bit i just dont want my whoe macbook to lag. Model Name: MacBook Model Identifier: MacBook3,1 Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2 GHz Number Of Processors: 1

L2 Cache: 4 MB Memory: 1 GB Bus Speed: 800 MHz

  • whats the fps like?

  • true, I want to see the FPS and directly from the Mac plz & TY.

  • I want to know frame rate. ctrl+r ..

    show me frame rate

  • Question: It's a little hard to determine quality watching a video of monitor displaying renered graphics and not experiencing it first hand. So...my question is; how smooth is it running exactly?

  • I can't believe a Macbook runs WoW that well. How is that possible? I know it runs good on my Macbook Pro, but how on a normal Macbook? That's amazing for the graphics card inside it.

  • I've seen that alot of people play this on the internet, and i was thinking about starting too... But what exactly is this game about and what do i need to get started?

Also i understand theres a fee to play monthly? Please could you reply to me and answer how much monthly it is in English pounds (£).

Is this game playable on a Mac Book pro OS X Leopard.

    Thanks

  • Its about 7 pounds per month, and it runs very very well on a mac book pro...i dont speak with any experience but playing wow on my regular mac book is great and all of the pro specs are about twice that of my macbook, so ive gotta imagine it runs at least twice as good

  • okay thanks alot =]

  • i run it on a mac mini, which has the same graphics chipset. Runs quite well at max settings (although not max res).

  • wow geeks! you guys are everywhere lol!

  • well what do you expect? its the internet right?

  • It looks like you were playing when the server wasn't very populated. During the day when Stormwind gets packed how well does it run?

  • Do you have Lepard, Tiger, or are you runnung it on windows? If I got a mac mini with the same specs, would it run the same?

  • I have to 2 Ghz and 2 GB Ram but it does not works so good like on yours =( do you use an Programm wo makes it works better ?^^

  • you mean very cool computer probably

  • Actually, Macbook is shitty in terms of power. It does have core duo but no graphic cards. Macbk Pro is the real good one for gaming.

  • meh. the pro still has a weak graphics card for gaming compared to similar laptops.

  • The pro is the fastest laptop with Vista... PC World's benchmarks ;-)

  • no, its not.

lets look at their home page.

theirs an apple ad, "vista is a giant blunder" quote, and attack of the iphoneys article.

    wow.

secondly, even if it WAS the fastest at some tasks (which i doubt) it is no longer.

and its sad that to truly use all of its power you have to take away everything that makes it unique.

  • what model of a Macbook would anyone suggest buying so that I can play WoW smoothly on it?????????? I'm tryin so hard to find a notebook good for play ing WoW on!

  • Any Mac will do. Every current model runs Wow just fine. My old Core Duo Mac mini, even with it's Intel GMA 950 graphics, runs WoW very well. That said, the cheapest MacBook would work well. The new MacBooks even have better graphic cards than my Mac mini. They've just been updated.

  • whatever you do, do not get the color black, i hate the matte finish. OIL MARKS EVERYWERE!

  • ya but i have the white one and u get scratches so lol... take ur pick

  • the only thing is that the macbooks rite now have really REALY bad graphic processers the intel GM/GME cards suck

  • They just updated the Intel graphics in the MacBooks. They run a little better than they used to. They're fine for WoW.

  • what a depressing song

  • yea, it sucks 2

  • i can play it too but the textures are bad

  • Yah, try doing that in Orgrimmar, different story altogether. This city is pretty sparse and is a bunch of hallways compared to the Horde capital.

  • its not sparse...

  • should i get a black or white macbook?

  • You have to consider that black ones get lots of finger prints. They say black ones run faster evan with the same specs.

  • Haha, that's like saying a car goes faster if you put racing stripes on it xD

  • white!!! =)

  • at an apple retail store there is a config for a white one that is 120gb HD and2gigsram

  • haha at like 40sec you can another player go lagging past, wonder what hes using?

  • Why do people play wow get real friends and you dont need a fake life and pretend to be something

  • some people have social issues man.. .i guess when they play games like WOW - they reach a point where other people in the game have to look up too and respect them.... which is something they believe they'll never achieve in real life.

i just play cause my anatomy lecture prof. sucks at life.

    lol.

  • i just got a new macbook to completely stock and it runs wow amazingly too and i didnt upgrade my ram GO MAC!

  • you never had to upgrade ram? did it play fine no lag at all? Considering on getting a MacBook and MAYBE this game, I've never played wow before but after reading all these reviews I have to say it may be a game I should look in to.

  • Hey mate dont have any illusions, WOW is really cpu and memory friendly game..

Try to run Oblivion or Crysis, and then you will see the truth :).

MacBook is good just for Photoshop, Logic etc.

(Things that does not require a lot of cpu power, but stability and visual style)

  • Yeah, WoW is CPU and RAM friendly until you install the BC expansion. Then it eats your memory like a fat kid eats cake. Your CPU is getting punched in the face repeatedly and maybe it's because I still have a P4 @ 3.4GHz but damn.

  • Photoshop and Logic not cpu hungry? Are you serious?

  • great music there. :D

  • to perform a right click on a macbook you just have to put two fingers on the trackap and then clikc the clicker button

  • i ment how do u pick up gold our gil on a mackbook theres onlyone button

  • Have not played WoW, but if you want to second click on a notebook it's usually crtl+click. The mice that come with iMacs etc actually have two buttons anyway, and if one button really annoys people, then a standard USB/wireless mouse can be used just fine and right click would be recognised no problem.

  • does anyone know how 2 pick on a macbook because theres only one clicker button not a right and left click thanx

  • ummmm could hav said more lol

    good video

  • upet6fteew you dont need a credit card you can go buy a wow card for 30 bucks at walmart it lasts for 2 months.

  • dude what r the full specs?

  • look on the apple website. all he upgraded was the Ram.

  • How long does it take one to get up to speed on WoW?

Can one get a CD that has the install for XP and OSX?

(there are those among us who use both platforms)

  • If you look on the disk (this also applies for Warcraft III) it'll say and have the logos for Windows and Apple. So in other words WoW will work on both Windows and OS X.

  • I now understand. Here's to HFS! I thought the days of bi-system CDs/DVDs were over.

  • Nice video bro.. If you could post the FPS and the video setting you are running that on, it'll help a lot, Thanks in advance

  • yay!!

  • dude who said this song sucks. haha Violent Femmes FTW!!

  • Pick a fucking worse song next time.. Jesus fucking christ..

  • yeah really that song SUCKED so bad

  • never again put that word between my Lords name

  • which word?

  • hahaha... yes sir!

  • wats a "lord"?

  • The song kinda grows on you.. especially after a few beers. It reminds me of the songs in the Tony Hawk skating games. Good JOB!

  • that was bajs

  • Macs are awesome, I have a Mac Mini setup as a small server running 4 Virtual Windows 2003 servers on one machine with VMware Macs are pretty powerful. So gaming on it is even better. My MacBook Pro has a HD screen so when I play WOW it sparkles...

  • Macbook got a good graphic card

  • Does macbook work with SecondLife?

  • yeah

  • @bballhead111

There are three different Second Life downloads. There is one for Macintosh, one for Linux, and one for Windows. I'm not sure if they're connected to the same server, though. They should be...

  • Fuck yourself, you think naruto is better?

  • lol, excellent comeback :)

  • Fucking zing, nice.

  • omg how munch is this stuff somebody tell me plz answer and does it come in black

  • ya it comes in black.. but.. u wrote that two weeks ago.. so.. u shuld probably kno the answer :p

  • yes dumbass. go to apple (dot) com and find out.

  • WTS screen recorder

  • I'm not planning on buying World of Warcraft, but I'm just wondering. Since MacBooks don't have that great graphics, what do you really need to run it? I have a MacBook with 2.16 Ghz and 1 GB RAM. Is this enough?

  • Yes but is you want it to be faster upgrade the ram to 2 gb

  • Mac rocks

  • It runs so much faster than it did on my PC, I quit playing because of how slow it was.

  • hey people. MAC can run anything that PC can... check out jungiantheology videos if you don't believe me...

  • it can only it sucks as with software emulated stuff mac needs

  • So waht if it runs WOW? Let's see a MacBook run FSX :D

  • Ditto!

  • The only reason a MacBook can't run FSX is because it has integrated graphics. A MacBook Pro would run it just fine.
