And I just gave away my Nissan Altima that I LOVED!!!!! I loved it so much I couldn't sell it. I had to give it to a very special person who needed to finish it off delivering pizza. So yeah, I get emotionally attached to QUALITY products because I'm lazy & I HATE things that are cheap & that break! That's why I LOVE MY MAC TOO!!!
people who hate macs are just people who have never had one. i use to be one of those people. granted i only bought one for programming reasons. but never the less i never understood why people loved them so much until i got one. keep in mind i am beyond computer savvy and never had to worry about paying someone to fix my PC or anything along those lines. soon as i bought a mac i realized PC is crap point blank.

@patricknedz The reason for that is because Apple doesn't legally allow its OS to be run on non-Apple hardware. It's nothing to do with the capability of Mac hardware vs PC hardware.

Macs are probably the easiest computer's to hack/infect with viruses, trojans, etc. Why does it not happen? Nobody important with any kind of useful stealable information uses Mac's.
Safety is not a problem for any half-minded person. Get any kind of anti-virus software, don't be a total idiot (OMG DOWNLOAD THIS IT HAS FREE MOVIEZZ!!) and scan any downloaded files. I'd take power and versatility over.... whatever it is Mac's have.

And all major universities and banks use them for storing very sensitive information and complex calculations. They combine clusters of Mac Pro desktops into supercomputers, son. Why don't you type in Youtube Search the words 'Virginia Tech' and see it for yourself. You know nothing about Macs.

I love my Mac, it's never gotten a virus in four years. Even if there are viruses out there I have protection against them. I also have a PC laptop, but I use my Mac more. Really, using what you like should not be looked down upon. It hurts no one :3. It was a gift, it just works, I don't want to mod it, and I love it as it is :D
I have a PC ... or NON-Apple computer and it's run PC-BSD , and Linux Ubuntu , and Linux Mint , and I even had Mac OS on my HP/PC but un-installed it because I needed the space for Windows 7...
Mac is based on BSD that is free and will run on any P.C.
Linux is also free , and both are as safe as Mac...
Apple even made a Linux distro years ago call MKLinux...

I got the Viruses on purpose to test the security in Windows 7 , and the testing was done in a virtual machine in Linux so it couldn't get to my main OS... You should be able to do anything you want on a computer with out worrying about viruses... @mrpinkshirt4 Wow, you sir need to get up to date. You're still badgering an OS that Steve Jobs declared dead about 5 years ago. Mac OS 9 sucked. OS X had features in it that would take Microsoft 6 years to implement (Integrated Search). Both OS's have their virtues, but anyone who is truly concerned about security will tell you that a BSD based system is far superior to Windows. I use both systems. My 8 year old Mac is set up as a DAW, I can't find anything that comes close to Garageband for PC
You can't record music from a stock installation of Mac OS X either. You can install it from a stock Mac though. One's the OS, one's the actual computer and platform as a whole.
iLife and GarageBand aren't part of OS X, they're just included with new Macs, like when Sony bundles their Movie Story software, and things of that nature. or Dell with its "Dell Dock" program.
Not all Windows PC come with good programs out of the box, but a good few of them do.

I love my Mac, it's never gotten a virus in four years. Even if there are viruses out there I have protection against them. I also have a PC laptop, but I use my Mac more. Really, using what you like should not be looked down upon. It hurts no one :3. It was a gift, it just works, I don't want to mod it, and I love it as it is :D

I have a PC ... or NON-Apple computer and it's run PC-BSD , and Linux Ubuntu , and Linux Mint , and I even had Mac OS on my HP/PC but un-installed it because I needed the space for Windows 7...
Mac is based on BSD that is free and will run on any P.C.
Linux is also free , and both are as safe as Mac...
Apple even made a Linux distro years ago call MKLinux...

Mac OS's are not safe at all there a boatloads of vruses outther for them not to mention their hardrive are a hell of a lot easier to hack because of the many security flaws. see with Windows 7 the UAC security is so good some people dont even have an anti-virus. alhtough Microsoft does recommend then u do for the variouse tools that come with anti-virus's.

I got the Viruses on purpose to test the security in Windows 7 , and the testing was done in a virtual machine in Linux so it couldn't get to my main OS... You should be able to do anything you want on a computer with out worrying about viruses... Linux , BSD ,and Mac OS have almost no known viruses... as far as I know Linux, and BSD have No viruses at all.

not all computer users want to customise their own computers, and brag about computers they've built themselves. Not all computer users want to have to keep on top of viruses and all the necessaries that come with PC's. So by saying OS X is 'idiot proof' i think you mean that it's more non-nerd friendly. I'm happy to let computer companies, who know much more about computers than me build computers, and so long as it works when I need it it's fine, and macs just seem easier to use to me.

@mrpinkshirt4 Wow, you sir need to get up to date. You're still badgering an OS that Steve Jobs declared dead about 5 years ago. Mac OS 9 sucked. OS X had features in it that would take Microsoft 6 years to implement (Integrated Search). Both OS's have their virtues, but anyone who is truly concerned about security will tell you that a BSD based system is far superior to Windows. I use both systems. My 8 year old Mac is set up as a DAW, I can't find anything that comes close to Garageband for PC

You can't record music from a stock installation of Mac OS X either. You can install it from a stock Mac though. One's the OS, one's the actual computer and platform as a whole.
iLife and GarageBand aren't part of OS X, they're just included with new Macs, like when Sony bundles their Movie Story software, and things of that nature. or Dell with its "Dell Dock" program.
Not all Windows PC come with good programs out of the box, but a good few of them do.

true, but since PCs were adopted world wide, in the early 90s even to today, it is more likely a technology will be adapted for mainstream use from the PC side such as faster video cards, better memory, SATA, VGA and DVI, and more.
