does anyone know the translation for what what he is saying at the beginning? I've been hearing this chant for years off the Deep Sky song Cosmic Dancer, and have wanted to know what he is saying very badly. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I've studied all the great Indo-religious/mystical traditions, and I've translated it has "I like to buy things, buy things, guy things. T-shirts, t-shirts, Calvin Klein polos. Gotta buy a sports car, then a plane to fly far. Money, money, money, take a loan and then default."
@happyninja42 It has something to do with beheadings, I think..and how the USA should be destroyed. I used to like Cosmic Dancer. I want to keep my head.
@Happyninja.......It is about the salutations to the ultimate god...about loving the whole universe and seeking the unity of the whole world........

I can offer my best interpretation of the opening passage, based on my own years of Sanskrit study and kirtan leading. This should be very close:
"To Shiva, to the penultimate god, to the moon-crested: salutations...OM.
To the one who is (the state of) Being, to the one who is the source of the quality (condition, state) of bliss,
To the one who dances the tandava ("dance of destruction"): salutations...OM."
