i'd like to ebäjja that guitarr, becous my teatcher in religion is sampling ties like there is no tomorrow, and he got one tie with the dark side of the moon, i got a LP "special edition" of the dark side of the moon, with dyolF kinP 78, there is some blurry initial's on it in silver also, says M.L dunno who that is but this LP (EP) is from my mothers youth, she and i am great fans, I love the sound of that strat in that EP, but my favorite will always be Gibson les paul Black beuty.

Yes, this was sold on Ebay for about $200,000. I gave the proceeds to Amnesty International, so it did go for a very reasonable cause :-)

Yes it is Gilmour. This clip is from his Live at the Royal Albert Hall DVD. The guitar was auctioned on Ebay in 2006 for one of his pet charities (I think Crisis). HE donates guitars al of the time for charitalble causes. He just donated a signed Black Strat for Musicians on Call, a medical charity last month.

most players at Gilmours level can just feel a good guitar with a strum.

and besides, playing through an amp hides the guitar's natural sonic character. playing it acoustically lets you feel the guitar's resonance, sustain and all around tonalities without having an amp mask it's true sound.

Hey, you were right. I learned somewhere that if you pluck the b string while the guitar is hanging from the wall and you feel resonance in the lower part of the body, then it will resonate better. Idk if that's true, but you were right, there is a lot of characteristics that are important in an electric guitars acoustic abilities.

well, you can just feel a "Live" and a "dead" guitar. it doesn't necesarily make a good or a bad guitar. for example, Jack white loves "Dead" sounding guitars because of the lack of sustain.

obviously, Dave like "Live" sounding guitars because of the great tone they give.

happy i could help shed light on the subject. and it's not just the B string, i strum a big E chord and, like i said, somteimes you can just feel thwe guitar vibrate between your fingers.
