Not that anyone is probably going to come back to this, but... they didn't have much of a budget seeing as how they didn't have a publisher to fund it. What you saw was a demo, nothing more. Of course it will not look great, in order to do what they claimed they wanted, they had to cut back on somewhere. I wish people were not such graphics whores. If only you would all look beyond graphics and actually see gameplay and story.

Don't say you use Unreal engine at this game! It looks more like Everquest, and thats like 7 years old. Hmmm.. not ahead of time! Looks gay in any other way also! Leave game developing to the pro people plz...

It is Unreal engine. You can see the fractal fires, the skyrooms, vertex morphed animation, 256x256 texture res limit imposed on everytihng (blurry character skins), lack of brightness, etc.

This game looks terrible. The graphics are dated, even for a first generation Xbox title. The game play looks as though it doesn't even build off of the fundamentals established by Panzer Dragoon, made a decade earlier. It is no wonder this game was never published: the concept of angel combat is awesome until you see this game in action.
