steve your training is all wrong for your body bro! You are clearly an endomorph...you need to be doing more cardio and less weight training....you have sagging pectoral muscles, extremely thick waist and hips and absolutely no trap muscles....also you have no upper chest...do us all a favor and put u r shirt back on....hit up the cardio and try to drop 15-20 pounds before removing your shirt again....also work on your traps and upper chest for gods sake

@MaaNonu123 Of course theres an upper and lower chest....the top part of your chest is the upper chest and the bottom part is the lower chest....you can target one or the other...ever heard of incline bench or incline dumbells to work the top portion of your chest.....i dont care about the anatomy or some chart...the fact is you can build up your top or bottom chest with specific exercises....anyhow thanks for your comment

@readytorockithard23 no you cannot..., inclines and declines are not for upper and lower even though people think they are. The sheet of muscle on your chest will grow more upper, more lower, or evenly based on genetics. You do not realize that no upper and lower chest exist.

Steve, you look powerful. Especially those legs. Say, I do my legs twice per week, but I find squats to be very draining on me. Is it effective if I did leg press in my second leg day in one week. I can do a lot more weight on leg press and it's a lot less draining and easier for me than squats. What I mean to ask: is leg press a good substitute for squat? You know, to avoid torturing my spinal column too much.
@smoothMousePad You can do alot more weight on the leg press due to the stable nature of the machine. The squat will always be the ultimate exercise/mass gainer/fat burner for legs and with good form they should not torture your vertebrae. They are a taxing exercise though because it is a full body compound exercise, but that's why they are so good! Leg press is a good substitute for squats if you are not feeling up to them, but don't expect the same results.
@TheFatSteez Thanks. That is a good info. I am definitely going to use press machine on my second day legs workout. I just don't feel so much tired after the press. One interesting thing: After my legs workout (the one with the squats) I feel like there is a black hole in my stomach for the rest of the day. I could eat God all mighty himself.

Steve, what size are your wrists? I'm 6' tall and have 7 inch wrists. I have always felt that my small wrists have hindered my curling poundages. Since you curl very heavy I'm curious.
wow i thought this guy was a fat ass. thats the way he looked with a shirt on. any way hes just big boned or something idk. any way im suprised. i look this good but i work out five days a week and do cardio everyday to maintain body fat. also have a great diet/ eat right. dont like the word diet. diet means you screw your matabolism up and have to work twice as hard. one other question do you eat 6 small meals daily eating every 2 to 3 hours? just wondered.

I`ve done most of what you`ve encourage ppl wanting to loose weight to do and it worked for me over a period of 3mths. i was 191lbs and with determination and my trainer i went down to 182lbs. Then i started the binge, i live in Jamaica and we have some tasty foods. I gain 188lbs it`s in my arms, belly, hips and legs...and want to get back o track. Am planning to walk 4 days and full body weight train 2days per week and of course change to a low carb diet. please ls that ok?

I'm just gonna say that I've done P90X & in another week, I'll be doing it again. If you want to get huge like a body builder (which most people DO NOT) then it's probably not for you. But if you want to get in shape, feel good & look good, then it is for you. It's all about the type of body you're going for. As far as it being a waste of time, no it isn't. Not for the majority of people. It will lean you down & that's the point. It's not made w/ the intention to make you bench 400lbs.

if you use all the support tools and keep on challenging yourself, p90x is a very well rounded and effective program. I am not a beachbody coach, but I challenge any "fit" person to try it and I dare you to say it's not challenging. It works muscles overpriced trainers ignore or don't know how to work. With all that said, Good for this guy for trying to get people off their asses and get healthy. ... and you can always add more resistance or new things to any workout.

Can anyone help me out?? I'm working on an 8 pack, but my abs are uneven. I have 4 on the right side, and only 2 on my left. No matter what I do, my abs won't grow on the left side! How can I get them to grow?
@HelloPrincessGiGi just lay down on the floor flat, hands under the back of your head, lift your torso up twisting it towards your right knee as you lift your body bring your right knee up aswell and lower it as you lower your torso.
Others can correct me if I'm wrong, but I was told that the shape of one's abs are determined by two factors: 1) body fat, 2) genetics.
Some people will have an 8-pack at low body fat levels, others will have a 4-pack (like one particular pro bodybuilder at competition weight, dunno his name), most will have a 6-pack.
Perhaps it is not possible for you to get an 8-pack at all. Why is an 8-pack necessarily better? If we can see whatever you have, then bravo for you.
..despite the "success stories" all P90X will do is make you skinnier and build "some" muscle. Skip it,. Its a waste of time! The weight lifting won't build a significant amount of strength and the cardio will do little for your VO2 Max. Do sprints, squats, bench, incline, etc. for a killer body. I suggest you join Steve's site for a few months and learn the truth. It takes experience and science to really maximize your performance.

so you should do a video out lining what work outs to do to get a similar body... cuz i know nothing of working out and am worried i might hurt myself some how. just started eating right, getting an eliptical tomorrow to do cardio, but my problem is weight lifting. know nothing about it, do not wish to hurt myself, or end up like some people that have a big upper and chicken legs or visa versa.

I'm just gonna say that I've done P90X & in another week, I'll be doing it again. If you want to get huge like a body builder (which most people DO NOT) then it's probably not for you. But if you want to get in shape, feel good & look good, then it is for you. It's all about the type of body you're going for. As far as it being a waste of time, no it isn't. Not for the majority of people. It will lean you down & that's the point. It's not made w/ the intention to make you bench 400lbs.

hi steve. One thinh i dont understand is calesthenics. I know u make a point about needing high intensity exercise to cause muscular growth, but is there any value in doing for example hundreds of push ups dips etc, exept for endurance.. i dont understand how someone (mike tyson) can weigh 230 pounds of pure muscle,, and according to himself, only ever did intense calesthetics.. thanyou

if you use all the support tools and keep on challenging yourself, p90x is a very well rounded and effective program. I am not a beachbody coach, but I challenge any "fit" person to try it and I dare you to say it's not challenging. It works muscles overpriced trainers ignore or don't know how to work. With all that said, Good for this guy for trying to get people off their asses and get healthy. ... and you can always add more resistance or new things to any workout.

Others can correct me if I'm wrong, but I was told that the shape of one's abs are determined by two factors: 1) body fat, 2) genetics.
Some people will have an 8-pack at low body fat levels, others will have a 4-pack (like one particular pro bodybuilder at competition weight, dunno his name), most will have a 6-pack.
Perhaps it is not possible for you to get an 8-pack at all. Why is an 8-pack necessarily better? If we can see whatever you have, then bravo for you.

..despite the "success stories" all P90X will do is make you skinnier and build "some" muscle. Skip it,. Its a waste of time! The weight lifting won't build a significant amount of strength and the cardio will do little for your VO2 Max. Do sprints, squats, bench, incline, etc. for a killer body. I suggest you join Steve's site for a few months and learn the truth. It takes experience and science to really maximize your performance.
