i have the BOSS ME-25 and i always get some parasite noises like the volume is too high and u hear noise but it isnt. Does the BOSS ME-70 fix this and does it give better sound or does it only have more choices?
I want on of these but i heard when you switch over effects theres a pause? So if i wanted to do a clean intro, then blare into distortion, then clean, then distortion with flanger or something. Would it be accessible by doing it with your foot? Cuz i domt wanna be touching the pedal during the song.

@musicmadhead yes it will! if i remember correctly, that has an effects loop. if you prefer the drive of your line6, put the me70 in the fx loop. you wont be able to use all the features, but your tone will stay intact. you could also put it straight into the amp and get all of the use out of the me70. however, some things, like delay, wont sound right with your amps distortion on. in some cases, you might have to use the me70s drive instead of the line6. either way, it will work for you
I am planning on buying this but I really need to know how this sounds live. I don't like the "electronic /processed" kind of sound. Does it sound as if they were really separate pedals? For the owners of the Boss ME-70, how does it sound to you? thanks.
@JakeSimMusic hey there i use a fender deluxe reverb 65 reissue, which is a high end tube amp. i sold some stompboxes and bought this instead and it works very well! of course, its not like it has boutique pedal sounds, but standard boss tones, which sound really organic and not precessed at all. especially with a tube amp, it reacts well. with a decent solid state, you could take advantage of some of the amp models, but i dont use them except for maybe the EQ. but overall it sounds natural

@zyngmal yes you can create a patch with only reverb and switch it on and off, but it might be a nuisance switching patches and tap dancing on stage. but you can buy any 2button footswitch and it can turn on and off the reverb and preamp. dont buy the boss footswitch though, they break easily, just get a marshall switch for an amp of something
@pivotgodxd it depends. if you already have a good tube amp, and only want effects and drive, the me70. if you have a solid state amp of run into a PA, get a line6
I have a problem. I bought the me-70 and when Im on the distortion channel on my amp and i use the harmonizer it sounds all fuzzy like i actually played the note without the effect on, not smooth at all. Then when i change my amp to the clean channel and turn on the pre-amp settings on the me-70 (rectifier) it sounds all smooth and good. but I like my amp settings I dont want to keep having to change to the preamp settings and clean for this. @PeeteTv no, u dont. it is only suggested to make it easier, otherwise u use the individual effects switches to select banks and patches. i only use the unit in manual mode, so i cant say if its really much easier, but thats why alot of people get it.
I am going to save up my money and buy one. But it seems so complicated. Mind you this will be my first foot pedal ever. It has everything you need, +more. I love the live looping.
@guitarg0d7007 its not as complicated as u think. i only use it in manual mode (adjusting the knobs for play instead of saving tones) and it is easy and simple. its really like having four stomp boxes. i also hook up a second (or third) distortion pedal or chorus effect or maybe a separate wah pedal just for versatility so i dont have to keep bending over during a live set, but it has everything even a professional could need.
when i got from clean to distortion the volume in sound drops buy a bit. i want to keep the volume the same on clean and distortion.... but if i turn up the volume on the distortion pedal to match the volume on the clean channel it creates this really horrible swooshing sound from the amp in the background....might be a cable or the amp
@jcoldham1 It works best with lower volume so turn your amp up a bit to compensate.It's trial and error to gets your cln/dist volumes to parity it takes patience.It's ANALOGUE so it's quirky like a bunch of single pedals joined together.The swooshing?Probably the volumes are too high. It could be the guitar,cable shielding,monitor perhaps? Use the noise gate knob,is there a cutoff point? Actually the dists are noisy on some of my guitars and fine with others?!! Persist coz its worth it :)
would you recommend this effects pedal for bass too? i can see how the distortions may not be that great as well as some of the functions of the preamp, but basically everything else seems like it would work fine. i also play guitar, but it would be primarily for bass, and thats what i'll be using it most for. i understand the ME-50 bass pedal was designed for bass, but for the same price i can get the later model. is it worth it?

@TheAnarchy4life Boss GT-10 just has more presets and a bit more effects. The ME-70 is better in my opinion. It's cheaper and it looks sexier. The GT-10 is ugly as shit.

Does this come with the freeze effect that the ME-25 has? If not, I might consider getting the ME-25 or Electro Harmonix freeze pedal. Can you rearrange the order that the effect categories are in?
It would be nice to see a video that not only describes WHAT the ME-70 can do, but how one set's it up to do it. Unless of course the player is just going with the pre-sets.
Either mine is broken or i dont know how to set up a pedal right. I plug the cable to my guitar in and every light on it lights up. then i connect it to my amp (Marshall Mg 30) in the input slot and nothing happens, it just stays lit up. Idk if im not plugging the output cord in the right slot (L/mono) or if im just dumb.
just got this for christmas myself, but im having troubles. I cant find a good dirty sound, theres this lingering tone that sounds as if i have a wah plugged in, but set at about halfway, so that its very nasley. and no, the wah isnt turned on :P
@gorkanshveil get a thick clean sound on your amp then turn on the modern distortion pedal. This pedal sounds pretty good on all gain settings. Make sure you change the tone knob to work with your eq settings.

it turns out i was just so used to hearing my amp's gain for so long that when introduced to the new natural frequencies and output of the pedal, it sounded strange. But once i got used to it, i put the guitar down for a bit then came back to see if i could hear the difference, and i came to the conclusion that this pedal provides exactly what i've felt has been missing from my tone :)
right i just got this for a xmas present, now could someone kindly please tell me how the hell i turn on my effects pedal because right now its just not switched on red and it is only changing the volume instead of the sounds... I WANT WAH! -.-
@jbudey Just lean forward on the pedal as the wah is turned on by pushing forward on the pedal. turn it off and back to volume bydoing the same. its just a fairly hard push forward so you don't turn it on and off by accident.....back to the spuds now...
@97warlock if its not working for you, i can suggest two things. first of all, u need to find some sort of leg workout regimen. also, if u have the owner's manual, try reviewing page 16 under "Adjusting the Expression Pedal". dial back the sensitivity.
I just calculated what the price of the individual stompboxes would cost if you got all the effects from here. It would be more than $ 3677,39, (Calculated from Danish money). Of course it would be cooler to have all the individual pedals, but it would cost about 10 times the price of the ME-70 :D
@outbook You mean the harmonizer? It's a great effect. You choose the harmonizing pitch (like thirds or fifths) and the depth of the harmonizing notes and it adds the new note on to the one you play. And on this pedal (unlike harmonizing pedals like the Digitech Whammy) you can choose the appropriate key so the pedal plays the proper minor or major note. It's incredible. So to answer your question: a harmonizer.
@shutterdock It has thirty-six patches open for manipulation and thirty-six duplicate patches that have the original tones that you erase by creating your own. it's nifty. i think if you wanted to you could write on all 72 of them though.
@MrLU2000 I would go ME-70. The Gt-10 is like a freaking computer. Every setting on the ME-70 that you make is visible and it's really easy to use. Except Easy Tone. I have no idea how to work that shit.
@kylethapk Afraid not. You gotta shell out like ten more bucks. But the pedal can go for some hours on Double-A's too, which is good for gigs and stuff where you don't want a bunch of wires.

@mauriceh01 did you stomp down hard on the expression pedal to turn it on like you're supposed too, cause' if not, then there's your problem!!

How did you acheive CORRECT harmony? did you play it on the loop?...because i cant find a harmony that was similiar to yur demo....perhaps you could do another one explaining what you did to get the effects that you used?.......it might be more helpfull?...

actually this looks like a really really big music store. but im getting your point, its a waste of talent. really really awesome what this guy did play. I wish we would have tabbed it. I wanna learn form it, analyse it and create own licks fromwhat I've learned. but I guess there wont a tab for this haha :D and my ears not good enough to figure it out

Does this come with the freeze effect that the ME-25 has? If not, I might consider getting the ME-25 or Electro Harmonix freeze pedal. Can you rearrange the order that the effect categories are in?

It would be nice to see a video that not only describes WHAT the ME-70 can do, but how one set's it up to do it. Unless of course the player is just going with the pre-sets.

Either mine is broken or i dont know how to set up a pedal right. I plug the cable to my guitar in and every light on it lights up. then i connect it to my amp (Marshall Mg 30) in the input slot and nothing happens, it just stays lit up. Idk if im not plugging the output cord in the right slot (L/mono) or if im just dumb.

just got this for christmas myself, but im having troubles. I cant find a good dirty sound, theres this lingering tone that sounds as if i have a wah plugged in, but set at about halfway, so that its very nasley. and no, the wah isnt turned on :P

@gorkanshveil get a thick clean sound on your amp then turn on the modern distortion pedal. This pedal sounds pretty good on all gain settings. Make sure you change the tone knob to work with your eq settings.

@LateNightShredder Yeah i just kept fuckin around with it and by the end of the night i found a great sound :P
it turns out i was just so used to hearing my amp's gain for so long that when introduced to the new natural frequencies and output of the pedal, it sounded strange. But once i got used to it, i put the guitar down for a bit then came back to see if i could hear the difference, and i came to the conclusion that this pedal provides exactly what i've felt has been missing from my tone :)

right i just got this for a xmas present, now could someone kindly please tell me how the hell i turn on my effects pedal because right now its just not switched on red and it is only changing the volume instead of the sounds... I WANT WAH! -.-

@jbudey Just lean forward on the pedal as the wah is turned on by pushing forward on the pedal. turn it off and back to volume bydoing the same. its just a fairly hard push forward so you don't turn it on and off by accident.....back to the spuds now...

@97warlock if its not working for you, i can suggest two things. first of all, u need to find some sort of leg workout regimen. also, if u have the owner's manual, try reviewing page 16 under "Adjusting the Expression Pedal". dial back the sensitivity.

I just calculated what the price of the individual stompboxes would cost if you got all the effects from here. It would be more than $ 3677,39, (Calculated from Danish money). Of course it would be cooler to have all the individual pedals, but it would cost about 10 times the price of the ME-70 :D

@outbook You mean the harmonizer? It's a great effect. You choose the harmonizing pitch (like thirds or fifths) and the depth of the harmonizing notes and it adds the new note on to the one you play. And on this pedal (unlike harmonizing pedals like the Digitech Whammy) you can choose the appropriate key so the pedal plays the proper minor or major note. It's incredible. So to answer your question: a harmonizer.

@shutterdock It has thirty-six patches open for manipulation and thirty-six duplicate patches that have the original tones that you erase by creating your own. it's nifty. i think if you wanted to you could write on all 72 of them though.

@MrLU2000 I would go ME-70. The Gt-10 is like a freaking computer. Every setting on the ME-70 that you make is visible and it's really easy to use. Except Easy Tone. I have no idea how to work that shit.

@kylethapk Afraid not. You gotta shell out like ten more bucks. But the pedal can go for some hours on Double-A's too, which is good for gigs and stuff where you don't want a bunch of wires.
