  • I seen this as a child and it affected me profoundly .. the movie is so magnificent

  • @rexappel glad you like it

  • noooo he's not interested in girls or women or relationships at all, HE'S A FREAKING SOCIOPATH, that's what makes him so brilliant and admirable! HE'S JUST. NOT. INTERESTED.

  • @crystadette Well, she dies later. So that event must've made him a sociopath as a result.

  • @amm019 Thanks 4 ruining the entire movie. >: |

  • @HorrorBuff99 Sorry

  • 4:57-5:47 XDXD

  • In the age of Avatar, I still think the stained glass knight is one of the most impressive things ever put on screen.

  • if they make a sequel, they should hire Nick Jonas to be Sherlock.

  • That soldier is awesome!

  • His name int angus its uncuss. Silly!

  • yep thats right the stained glass window knight was the first ever completely computer generated character ,next was the dino of jurassic park the were the first photo real computer generated characters (they also used sate of the art puppets along side the cgi

  • when he says "i never want to be alone" i just saw that scene from Sherlock with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman at the resurant in A Study In Pink.

Well, we can't always get what we want can we?

  • Watson: "I want to be a doctor."

    Other guy: "Nobody asked you!"

Watson: "Sorry." wow that kid's good at taking shit!

  • wow what an epic scene!!!

  • lol watching this and then watching the new 2009 sherlock holmes is funny to see how he turns out

  • is this movie new? i saw the trailer and it said 04.06.10 is it made this year?

  • @simonz3 no this is an old speilberg movie.

i think there is a new tv show series called young sherlock holmes you might saw a trailer for that or they made a recent remake of this movie

  • @MikadoOkami It's NOT a Spielberg movie, it's a Chris Columbus/Barry Levinson film.

  • @simonz3 no. this movie is very old. somewhere near 1980 something or other.

  • @Loganfen 85

  • What did that fat old guy say?? Oh Christum Dominum Nostrim? What does thay mean? and what are they eating?

  • @pupppenguin something about jesus because christum means christ

  • @pupppenguin It means, "Chirst our Lord."

  • @pupppenguin "Per Cristum Dominum nostrum" Is a conclusion of a christian prayer, in latin of course, it means: "for Christ, our Lord". Thankyou, Mikado Okami, for posting this wonderful movie. Greetings from Italy!

  • @asperrimissimo glad you like it

  • holy crap, at 2:10 they seem to have transported themselves into Hogwarts

  • The dinner sequence where Holmes is looking at his lady love (*sigh*) and the crime-solving sequence are two of my favorite scenes in the movie.

  • i cant find this movie on any torrent site

  • The Game Is Afoot!

    epic...

  • The writer of this directed the first two HP movies, which suck compared to the books.

  • @spagerbot Movies almost always suck compared to the books. In fact, literally the only time when the movies was better than the book was with Mario Puzo's "The Godfather."

  • @2wingo Actually, the movie version of "The Client" follows the book almost verbatim.

  • @alison528 Yes, but was it BETTER than the book?

  • makes me think of harry potter when they eat dinner

  • That knight, I've heard, was the first ever completely computer generated character

  • @chazzout It's a great effect, too. It stands up even after a quarter of a century. I found it suitably terrifying the first time I saw it and it still sends chills down my spine when I see it now.

  • @chazzout I believe your right, although the first ever all CGI sequences were in The Last Star Fighter.

  • @chazzout I don't know if it was the first but I will point to this as the way in which computer graphics should be used in film. They didn't try to push the technology beyond what it was capable of depicting realistically. That and they used it sparingly.

  • Actually, as I assume this is Oxford or Cambridge University (I forget which one) that Sherlock and Watson are at school at, she's already said she based the Hogwarts a little on either school if I remember rightly, and they even filmed there on some occasions. ^^

  • @sophielowden Watson says his school is in the heart of London so Oxford and Camridge are out.

  • Well, it IS a well-known fact that JK Rowling stole quite a few ideas in order to build her HP franchise.

  • My, Prof. Rathe is gorgeous!

    Sherlock's a cocky little bastard, ain't he? :)

  • lol some say cocky some say confident

  • @MikadoOkami It's only cocky if you can't back it up.

  • @FantasmaLuna He reminds me of a young Tom Riddle, teaching a DADA class. The disregard for his students, allowing them to get hurt in his class, is very much of apiece with Riddle's contempt for humanity--one reason why he was refused the position when he applied for it.

  • AND the hooded people look exactly like Quirrel when he had Voldemort on the back of his head.

  • I swear between John Harry Potter Watson and the dinner sequence at 2:10, there's some influences here. hmmmmmmm-

  • lol you got a point and now that you mention it dudley does remind me of malfoy

  • funny thing is...dudley has the same name has one of the most annoying characters in harrypotter yet...acts like one of the bad guys from the movie o.O strange
