  • @bjajudo: Hi this event is held every their year at NEC in Birmingham at the third weekend in November. Its the most biggest model railway exhibition of the year in the UK. Plenty of layouts to film and I will be attending 2011's as I didn't make last years.

  • the layout at warley is still the same lol

  • @pyronathanpyro: I think thats their DCC test layout mate.

  • @EWS60008 yer same lol i dont like it that much thow even for a text one lol

  • @pyronathanpyro: I think more planning should have gone into that test layout I think. Perhaps make it longer for high speed running of the DCC fitted HST's as they are good models.

  • @EWS60008 yer agreed as the hornby hst londodn 2012 is very good and fast :)

  • how many more functions are there for this on the elite

  • @jmsschooner: I think the Elite has 16 or something like that?

  • @EWS60008 cheers and ur layout is n or oo scale i always forget

  • @jmsschooner: My layout is in N gauge mate.

  • I saw this exact same layout at the SECC in Glasgow on Sunday!!! I love the DCC Sound locos and I'm hoping to get one sometime!

  • is the sound constanly emitted from the loco? or do you select the sound from the controller? much like you would a point or a accessory.

  • The sound function is normally operated by pressing F1 on the DCC controller (this may vary depending on what locomotive and/or type of DCC controller used) to turn the sound on and off. Hope this helps.

  • i live in england but just wondering are hornby sold in america

  • I think Hornby products are sold worldwide just like most of the Tomix and Kato Japanese trains are here.

  • meh

  • sounds good , shall have to look for one of these, what do they cost, well over a £100 i suppose. Not seen any in our local shops.

  • They are selling for £150 on eBay brand new just incase you are seeking one of them mate. I am looking forward to getting the 60048 with sound when its out. I'm no steam expert (too young) but the sound on the Duchess locomotive sounds pretty realistic to me.

  • yes I have seen them on e bay i think the cheapest was £168 but hornby are selling for £205 they sound and look good, but if you lok on hornby Forum a few have had a few problems, so maybe its better to wait a while till all problems ironed out.

  • great vid 5 star

  • Thanks buddy!

  • I Have just brought one of them!

  • I'm thinking about getting one, but as I mostly model Diesel & Electric trains, I am patiently waiting for the EWS 60048 to come out which will have sound onboard as well. So I am looking forward to getting that soon I hope.

  • how much are they

  • They are around £150 and upwards!

  • Whats the point of uploading the clip when all you can hear is people talking in the background?

  • You get waffle at all MRE's but the sound of the steam train model is loud enough to hear on the clip if you listen to it.

  • awsome dude

  • Thanks mate :).
