Steve, could you explain please how you managed to learn the noun cases in Russian? Because, Serbian, my native language, has 7 cases and many many vocal alternations and since I would liek to teach peopel Serbian, is there a way you are familiar with to ease the difficulties in struggling with the noun cases?
I have a strong passion for languages also, growing up with both english and russian helped a lot I reckon. I learned Japanese and French, and am now learning German (as i moved here) and my next project is Korean :)
as far as vocab is concerned, that's so true. I used to concentrate on grammar all day long, and that doesn't help one bit when you are in a real life situation! now i've adopted flashcards... they help immensely.
Man you should watch Steve's other languages, he can definitely speak all these languages, it's very challenging indeed, but it's not impossible, I'm 21 and I speak 4 languages: English, French, Italian, Russian and I'm currently studying German. But Steve's ability to speak Japanese or Mandarin is simply amazing... I don't know how he does it.
Hello.i am 20 and speak serbian(my native), japanese, english, french and spanish. I agree that it is a bit difficult in he beginning but all it takes is some will and ability to make it pleasant learning it:)
I admire Steve's languages and hope to be at least similar when I come to his age :)
