OMG, the design is HORRIBLE. It looks like CRAP. Just do to the Cadillac website and you will see lol.

The engine is more underpowered than a Lexus pwr/weight wise.

They are comparable.

They compete directly in BMW's 3 series and 5 series zones. Not to mention their escalade with the x5.

However, they have absolutely crap cars. the only good car they have is the CTS, which, sadly, they try to paint in commercials as "injected with German engineering"

Bottom line, they are behind in sales and in quality, and maybe in reliability.

It's a nice series - they skipped the boring years (decades?), but they also skipped the admittedly strange but unique fishtail fins (well, not fins, more like pre-fins) of 1948-1956, and the equally weird pleated-sides design of 1961-1962.

Sigh. Car styles used to change slightly every year and majorly every 3 or so. It was shallow and costly -- but damn fun.
