How do you hold items behind your Kart or Bike?

Well for automatic users hold the B button. But if your manual then use the Gamecube or Classic Controller. Not sure what button to use.

Yes you have to! Now to do it go to your Mii channel and pick the Mii with that nickname and add [HB] to it.
