Rock Band 2 has a better presentation and gameplay.

Guitar Hero World Tour has better instruments like the guitar, it has the clicking sound to it which most people are comfortable with. And the Drum looks really badass.

But there are a lot of problems with the launch Bundles.Like sensitivity and failure issue.

ROck Band 2 has a lot of Great songs in it compared to GHWT. And up too 500 DLC.

I bought guitar hero world tour and I am not impressed by it at all.

I'd suggest Rock Band 2.

I think it really depends. Some people like RockBand for its realistic presentation and precision (I personally don't like the exact precision in that game) while some people like GH for its explosive venues and its easy precision (although the chart is more complex). Really, there isn't any major difference besides the setlist. Both games vary greatly in genres and can interest almost everybody. Both games are great. No need to be biased.

All Rock Band 1 and 2 instruments are supposed to work on GHWT (we won't know for sure until the game is out, but the people making GHWT said they will). Harmonix, the developers of Rock Band said all GHWT instruments will work with Rock Band. This is a well documented agreement. All instruments work with all games.
