  • You can do this no problem with a stock 03 TAcoma right?

  • @NERFgunWARLORD . I need to check my email more often. Have you gone already? Sure you could. I think as long as you have a somewhat short wheel base and good clearance and you're not in a Hummer. You could do it. Definitely 4wd. Of course. Would love to know if you went.

  • my wife her bff, and I did this pass 4 years ago...epic

  • awesome video sure brings back memories. It is so awesome around Quray. Thanks for sharing.

  • Truly awesome trail. I think we will visit Colorado on our next trip to US.

  • It is the best place. When you get there, you have to get a jeep for the week. There are so many places to see and do. Fish, jeep, relax. OIIIIIO

  • Awesome. Great video!

  • Thank you for watching. It's our favorite place. Hopefully you have been there or are planning on going there.

  • I did Yankee Boy Basn a few years ago with the wife. Great time and the weather was great! (Aug) Went this past summer (June) with my son and did Imogene Pass, well only half of it. It rained the whole time and we got soaked, rain gear and all. We ATVed and couldn't cross a few of the streams, over 2 ft. deep! Never made it above tree line, I so much want to do it again.

  • my dad and i did this one with a 06 wrangler rubicon unlimited with 4" suspension lift and 33's

  • We did some Alpine loop with the jeep in stock condition 1st and then did the 4" with 33's for the next year, and let me tell you, you get great clearance but the smoothness goes out the window. Even when you let the air out. Nothin' better than this though, even if you shake your eyeballs out of your head

  • This video is great. Telluride and Ouray are one of the most amazing places in the world. My Dad and I did Imogene and Ophir in my xterra that we fitted for off roading last summer. I just wanted to thank you for this video, it brings back great memories.

gif1014- A good beginner trail is Last Dollar Road. It is easy but you still get the off road experience and the great views of the San Juans.

  • Thanx for commenting. We love it more than anything. Have you ever been to Lake City? Alpine Loop? That's our home away from home. Check our other videos, we should be adding more soon. Thank you for watching them.

  • Fantastic...thanks for this vid..I now know what I am about to experience next week..Always thought Red Mountain pass was a trip...but I see I have not experienced anything until Imogene..Thanks again...

  • Thanx. Imogene is probably the best we'll be on. Take a whole day and enjoy. We stay in a cabin on Alpine loop every year, we will be there in a couple of weeks and have more vid's by end of August. Please check back. Thank you for watching.

  • Yeah! This brings back great memories of by crossings. You do it once and you'll do it again.

    Thank you!

  • No, thank you. I love the comments. We put these vid's on to share, so when someone comments, we love it. Sharing our experiences is part of the fun. Please come back to visit our future video's. Thank you

  • Loved it! The video wasn't herky jerky like some are and the music fit right in. My son and I are planning on doing Imogene this summer. Planning on doing it with ATV's which should keep us entertained for most of the day. My wife and I might even come back in early Sept. and try it together, weather permitting. Great job on the video! Thank you.

  • Thank you so much for commenting. I tried very hard to get a decent vid. so we could enjoy it for years. It was hard in some spots. We highly recommend a Jeep. But be very careful. (dropoffs.) We're going back in Aug. and will have more vid's after that. (Lake City, Alpine Loop) fantastic, the best place in the world. Please keep in touch w/ us, and exchange experiences. Thank you very much.

  • Another great video, thanks! I'm spending a couple days there this June on the way back from Moab and CAN'T WAIT!

Thanks for sharing with the rest of us, I love these videos

And to gif1014, I've got a video of our pass over Black Bear last year...I went skydiving 4 months earlier, and Black Bear was scarier! I kicked out my passenger and took off my seatbelt b/c I thought I was gonna have to bail:) But not that technically difficult, just on the edge of huge cliffs!

  • I haven't chkd our vid's for a while. I'm so glad you commented. It's important to me to talk w/ people about our fav. thing. Thank you so much. We're going back in Aug. & will have more videos. We love it more than anything and will someday live there. Where are you from if you don't mind us asking. Thanks again, please keep visiting.

  • Loved the video, you also couldn't picked a better song, been to Colorado twice, just last year in fact, went to Telluride for the 1st time (never done any 4x4) would this pass be good for a beginner?? (Black Bear looks tough!) The view looks incredable... I would give just about anything to live out there, thanks for the video! This song will now remind me of my favorite place on earth

  • You're awesome, thank you. Colorado is our love too. (and our goal) Imogene Pass and Yankee Boy Basin are connected, Imo. is rated a 4 and Yankee is a 3. There were some scary parts, but it's worth it. Buy this book, Colorado trails, southwest region by peter massey. It's very informative and lots of color pic's. Black bear is for the experienced. It is the toughest trail. The switchbacks have taken many lives. Research. We could talk about CO all day. I'm adding more vid's, stay in touch.
