1. the video you're watching has been out for months.
2. I review what I have - I don't have a N810, I have a N800. If you'd like me to review the N810 - please send me one.
3. As of today (March 16, 2008), the N800 is still available from the Nokia N-Series Website, so it's a current product offering, and not a replaced product. That would be like saying why review the Dodge Durango, when you can review the Viper? They are two different things.
"That would be like saying why review the Dodge Durango, when you can review the Viper? They are two different things."
Not quite :)It would be like saying why review a 2000 viper when you can review a 2008 viper ;) They are the same product, (Nokia's N series,) one is just the latest version :)
Have you heard anything about the next model coming out? I have heard rumors of another version of the 810 coming out, just more mem capacity. Stupid how the latest version had less mem than previous.
Yes and no. You can make ordinary phone calls using Skype, but it has to be through an internet connection (either wi-fi or a Bluetooth mobile phone).
Nokia is coming out with a new internet tablet that has wimax on it. The N810 JUST came out DON'T YOU GUYS WITH THE N810 FEEL LIKE WE GOT KICKED IN THE FACE. there's no usb hosting on the n810, how are we suppose to ad an external wimax device. and we payed almost 500 bucks for it. we should have waited for the new N.. who knows and the prices would have dropped like the n800. we got raped. shame on nokia. I feel bad for the hackers that have to hack it again
If you thought the N810 (or any product for that matter - iPhone early adopters, I'm looking at you) was worth what you paid for it when you bought it, then you did not "get raped" or kicked in the face or any of that stuff. You got what you paid for. Does it suck that you could have gotten more for the same price if you had waited - or the same thing for less? Sure. But that will always be the case with tech.
i couldn't have said it better my self. thats how technology is, but whats the point of comming out with 2 same new devices at the same time jump on technology. most of the time there are upgrades after like one year or close, but nokia said lets make both at same time, and make them really exspensive.
Very good deal and congrats on the purchase! When away from home I sometimes pair up my N810 with my E90 and find it to be just as good as my MacBook Pro.

Still doesn't make all that much of a difference... The Air can't fit in your pocket.

Where did you read about this new NSeries device? What' the name? Any links for more info?
chadwsmith 4 years ago
actually it's Sprint's edition of N800 with WiMAX on it which was supposed to be released last year.
PhieuLang 4 years ago
It's not a new device, Nokia just said last year that they may re-issue one of the existing tablets with a Wimax chip in it.
