Is it easy or moderately easy to convert one of these to regenerative braking? I feel like the efficiency would improve DRAMATICALLY with stop and go like this.
Scott, You are doing well and at the same time be carefull.. Anyway your bike is fast and let me tell you you have the wright tools for the job.. I use to live in florida and when I first had my first job there, I pick the wrong shift which landed me walking all the way back home. That when I learn the hard way that anything that has wheel in florida is a good thing... I remember that long walk back home wishing I had a bicycle to get me home..
@5scaleracer The moral to my story was I pick a shift at a new job were the buses did not run at all, That why I was telling this. Thats why when I see you on that bike, Believe me you did the wright thing.. Again enjoy!!! When I move back to florida, This time I am ready. LOL LOL
I Subed your channel a day or two ago. Been watching your videos to get an idea of what to expect when I get a bike put together in the next few months.
In the videos you've done you've been doing what I expected I'll do. Only difference being I plan to mount my batteries over the rear wheel behind the seat.. Don't know if that will give me any balance issues but I'll find out.
I plan to go more road bike in my build. Thinner tires, etc.
@btwbrand i used my schwinn road bike, 28in got the hub for front wheel, which im glad i did because the balance wouldve been bad, i put the batts, controller in the bag they gave me with the kit on a rack above the rear tire, however u gotta becareful with the weight on a road bike with the thin tire on the back, i had to put alot of air in the rear compared to what im used to. i got the low wattage, volt, 24v 500w, since i wasnt lookin for alot of speed.
@shitstainedballs1 Thanks for sharing some ideas. I have my bike built now and I use it regularly. I did put the controller, battery's and the hub motor all in the rear, and I am using the thinner road tires as I planed to. Having all that weight stacked over the rear tire did cross my mind as a concern, But unlike Skeetab5786 and a lot of other users who built a bike, i don't weigh nearly 200 pounds. I'm about 120 and I felt I could get away with the weight being towards the back.
@14sJakeB190 No i have never been pulled over or questioned by the police. altho everytime i see one i still have the tendency to slow down to 20 and pedal air to make it look like im cycling. half the reason i wanted the batteries in the frame was so i could cover them up and make them disappear :) im pretty sure the Ma law here where i live is 25mph with helmet and drivers license.
Dude u got skills

@iPlaymeta1 yes you are correct..but dramatically is in reality only about 5-9% of battery life in a perfect world. thanks for watching!

this video should annoy people but it does not ... why?

this is sooo cool im thinking of doing something like this so my giant stiletto, how much did all of this cost?
TheWallace777 9 months ago
@TheWallace777 since you already have a bike you can probably get up and running at 48v for around 600-700USD.
thanks for watching!

with A 28inch wheel it goes faster ?
SvenskFilm2 9 months ago
@SvenskFilm2 yes the larger the wheel the faster the top speed will be, but the less torque it will have on the same amperage draw.
thanks for watching!

whats the top speed with pedaling? maybe you've already said it but i dont have the time to watch all your vids
dennisdeslager0 2 years ago
on a flat with no wind i get 34mph. and at the moment my pedaling is only affective till about 27-29 mph. need larger gear
skeetab5780 2 years ago
@skeetab5780 Have police ever stopped and questioned you about this?
Federal laws and most "well just my" state law says that ebikes can not exceed over 20mph by electric motor/motor combined with pedaling.
I am thinking about buying one, it doesn't look much like an eletric bike but I don't want cops stopping me or questioning me about anything.
They probably wouldn't or even notice it's electric but I don't like the hassle of it and having to explain myself.
So have you had any problems?
