Oh, my, yes! The best song from the best Jules & the Polar Bears album . . . and yes, I'm counting "Bad For Business" in my estimation. This song is just absolutely frantic, frenetic, and fenetik!
"Seems like we only get life and death to work with
May as well make the most of the facts"
You could practically make a religion out of Jules Shear lyrics! But let's not.
Love Jules Shear. Brilliant songwriter. All of the Polar Bears albums are great. The originally unreleased Bad For Business is available now and it's a total trip. If you like Jules and you haven't heard that album get it. And yes, Richard Bredice was over the top amazing - so unique and cool. Perfect fit for this band.
Saw Jules and the Polar Bears in some little club in Portland OR back in the day. They were so cool. Jules is amazing with words. Mental gymnastics just to keep up with him. Love this album. Great times....
What an altogether awesome record. And nobody in the world plays lead guitar like Richard Bredice (on this album, anyway)--he's like from another planet. Thanks for this!
