  • I have listened to all 40 "segments" and have been touched profoundly. I'm starting them again........Everyone who is watching /listening to these teachings are at different levels in their personal evolution and will interpret them from where they are, helpful for those on a spiritual path with an open mind, and questionable for those who are not yet ready...........the music is VERY distracting and does not enhance the narrations

  • Life is great suffering, once you realize this it does not have power over you.

  • The music spoils it....

  • you want enlightenment smoke some dmt

  • Dharma nectar... what a gift to have the whole TBLD of Sogyal Rinpoche available here!!! in these spiritually dark ages, just how slim is the chance to find an authentic master... Master-to-student Lineage and personal realization is the living proof of these precious teachings. May those fortunate ones that happen to meet with the Dharma, study it, then reflect on its absolute meaning and realize the teachings so as to bring benefit to all sentient beings. 2study Buddhism=2study one´s mind

  • @iHeartCoolStuff the "tales of reincarnation" are symbolic.. Buddhism IS a science.., Not a religion..;)

  • @IAmHanuMan Within the Pali Nikayas it is clear that the Buddha is teaching rebirth as a fact, not as metaphor or allegory. In Theravada countries Buddhists believe in rebirth in a literal sense. The case is the same with Tibetan Buddhism as the basis of the Tulku system and elaborate teachings on dying and the dissolution process in an effort to be reborn in favorable conditions. In Asia Buddhists don't simply think of this topic as tall tales or pure symbolism.

  • @Kensho79 The self and the soul are illusions.. -so what is reborn..? Our energy will be recycled back in to nature..;)

  • @IAmHanuMan The Tibetan texts often state that phenomena are LIKE illusions not that they ARE illusions. They are described in this way because, just like illusions, things do not exist in the way that they appear to. The way they appear to us is relative or conventional truth and it is real on its own level. Buddhism's position is that there is also ultimate truth but it does not nullify the relative by reducing everything to ultimate truth. You can't reduce one to the other.

  • Recently I have heard both Thanissaro Bhikkhu and Alan Wallace state that no where in the Pali Suttas does the Buddha state that there is no self. My readings of the suttas have shown the same. Edward Conze stated that "the Buddha never taught that the self 'is not', but only that it cannot be apprehended". What was refuted was the Vedic conception of Atman, an immutable soul existing inherently, not susceptible to influence from other things. Consciousness is reborn!

  • I would agree that the physical constituents of our body are recycled back into the natural physical world - sure! But as for consciousness that's a different "matter" ;) It doesn't just disappear or evaporate. Buddhism is quite clear on this (continuity of consciousness) consciousness is reborn into a new world and begins a new life as a new being. From the Buddhist view you didn't have your beginning at conception or at any point during the 9 mo. in the womb. You had a life prior to that.

  • @iHeartCoolStuff im studying physics in university mate, the more i learn the clearer you see and this stuff makes a bit of sense afterwards. even mainstream (watered down) religion makes sense after you notice what nature is, basically energy, everywhere.

  • This is amazing.

    The theory of my life.

  • Thank you for the upload...

    Amitufo...

  • I listened to the whole audio book, it scared me to death and inspired me as much at the same time.

    Really weird feeling.

  • are you reading the book? thanks.

  • wunderschoen! vielen dank!

  • THANK YOU JOY BE WITH YOU.

  • added music spoils it imo.

    the words are enough.

  • Speaks truth.

  • I have reincarnated many times before. I remember all my past lifes! Isn't that amazing? I once was a Tibetan man, I died and leaving my wife and a small child behind. I think I died from sickness. But that was a dream I had LoL. When we died, we are still around our dead body, we can see what's going on, but we can not communicate, and we accept the fact that we are dead.

  • wonderful thank you for posting all of these may you be well and happy
