  • on October 5th 2011, This Icon will be at the Holy Transfiguration Monastery in Ellwood City, PA from 9:00am - 2:00pm. I am very excited to go.

  • @michaeldimmickjr My wife and our little school were there! It was beautiful!

  • I was blessed this morning by this bishop and this steaming icon in my church, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Portland Oregon :) it was truly amazing

  • simple miracles, simple people, poor people is the favourite for God.

Atheists expect big ufo's landing sended from God.

But God is simple and Looks straight in the men's hearts.

  • @sotulis "Atheists expect big ufo's landing sended from God." Atheists don't expect someone who uses words like "sended" to understand.

  • @brainiac554 Of course not, because Atheists would expect that people from all countries speak perfect English. (Sotulis lives in Greece.)

  • @mikelunz If you're going to argue in English, speak English.

  • @brainiac554 No, Sotulis made a statement, you made an argument. Sotulis never responded, and made no argument. I am only making this point because your name is "brainiac." ;D

  • @mikelunz Fine then. My point still stands.

  • Very inspiring! My wife and I were anointed Friday.

  • "He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given... Therefore speak I to them in parables... For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them."

They have the Bible but don't understand.

  • Well, today the Lord answered my prayer regarding this icon. At my church here in Oregon, we were blessed with oil from this very special icon. Pretty cool, huh?

  • wow, what an honor! this will TOTALLY be on my list of visits if I ever go to Hawaii.

  • I hope someday I'll get to see a myhrr streaming icon. I'll bet it was truly special.

  • @belladeballe

Jesus declares there is only one mediator between God and man and that is Jesus Christ. There is no scripture that claims we are to pray to any one else. Mary is not a god she is not the mother of God, God says he had no beginning. This is a deception from of hell and is idolitry. God is ominpresent and can hear prays from billions and anwers them. Mary is not a god and is not omnipresent. I honor Mary for who she is and saying yes to God. Mary said she was in need of a savior.

  • @tabor1869 Jesus is God, right? So yes, Mary is the mother of God if she is the mother of Jesus.

  • @belladeballe

Mary is not the mother of God, God has no mother. She was used by God to bring Jesus the into this world to redeem man. No where in the word of God does it say to pray to anyone but God. Mary is a human that said yes to God, and we all need to do the same. Mary is not a God. Jesus Clearly states I am the way the Truth and the life, no man comes to the father except through Me. Only Jesus saves not mary. We need to check everything by the word of God not what man says is right.

  • @tabor1869 The tradition of calling St Mary Theotokos, Mother of God, has from ancient times been intended to convey the fact that Christ is truly God who became flesh. The Theotokos did indeed carry god in her womb, the Second person of the Holy Trinity. I'm afraid any heresy that denies this has been dealt with by the ecumenical councils long before now. The Church is clear in its teachings, but modern man finds the truth hard to accept. Especially those infected by Protestantism.

  • @tabor1869 how does it feel to be a nestorian heretic who doesnt understand the divine incarnation of God the WORD MADE FLESH.

  • @belladeballe

Jesus is God and He existed before Mary so how is she God's mother. Please read your Bible....Geneis or the book of John. Jesus existed before the foundations of the world. The Bible is clear about all of this. I will do what God's has said and not what i think or a religion states. Truth is found in God alone.

  • @tabor1869 - We pray to Mary so that she will pray for us.

  • @kati3luvzcoop3r

The Bible is clear that Jesus is the way the truth and the life. NO ONE COMES TO GOD EXCEPT THROUGH JESUS ONLY. Where in the word of God does it say to pray to anyone else. Do what God says not a religon tell you. God honors his word.

  • @tabor1869 Well tabor, we Orthodox have been doing these things for two thousand years now, and I guess it's just hopeless to ask use to change at this point. The book you call the Bible, more commonly known as the New Testament to us Orthodox, was written by the first members of the same church known today as the Orthodox Church. Yup, you guessed it. The Orthodox Church wrote the Bible. I think we know what it say's how to interprit it. Just imagine, we've been on a book tour for 2k years!!

  • @tabor1869 The Gospels explicitly refer to Mary as his mother, so, if you accept that Jesus is God, then how can you deny that the Virgin is the Mother of God?

  • @tabor1869 Mary carried the Lord in her womb. She gave birth to the WORD made FLESH.

  • @tabor1869 So are you saying Jesus is not God? If so, that is a heresy.

  • I was just anointed today in Pasadena, California by the Myrrh from this icon. 6/20/2010

  • In Orthodox icons, depicting the Virgin Mary (Holy Theotokos in Greek), she is always shown holding the Lord Jesus Christ. In the myrrh streaming icon of Iveron from Hawaii, the Theotokos is pointing to Christ as a message to us all that Jesus is the way the truth and the life. I was myrrh anointed from this icon again today at Saint Anthony Church in Pasadena, CA. The experience is truly breathtaking and humbling. Everyone should experience this at least once. Glory be to God!

  • My friend , "@angelsarereal" we are required as Christians to ask for all saints to pray for us especially those with the Lord. Saints that have passed on to be with the Lord, are praying for our salvation continuously. In Revelation 5:8 the Apostle John describes his vision of heaven writes "...elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of incense, which are the prayers of saints." These are ALL Saints both living, and those with the Lord.

  • When this Icon Traveled to Tucson we had two addition miracles happen! One of the Altar boys had a bad sports injury and lost close to 80% of his vision. When they went out to greet the icon and usher it into the church, they lined up to kiss it. Fr. Earl said that when the boy kissed the icon he got a startled and confused look on his father. When he kissed the Icon his sight returned. Another Parishioner we cured of painful tremors.

  • I had the opportunity to see this icon in Nyak,NY many years ago and be annointed with the myrhh. The fragrance was so overwhelming and is nothing of this world.

  • I was blessed to venerate this icon and receive a piece of cotton soaked with the myrrh last night in Roslindale, MA! It was an amazing experience!

  • I find things like this to be fascinating and very moving-and I'm an atheist!!

  • What else are u waiting for? Love your Jesus and give lots of love back to humans. Thats what Jesus is asking from u, so simple.

  • I know somebody who saw this icon and said it was an absolutely real, spontaneous phenomenon. I have heard a story of a Protestant who have claimed to have perfume appear in their Bibles out of nowhere, too.

  • Glory to GOD!

  • What town is this in? Thanks.

  • I took this video of my family being blessed by the myrrh in Honolulu, Hawaii. The myrrh fragrance was so overwhelming when I was anointed that I could barely speak at first.

  • @angelsarereal

This all a deception from hell. Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the life. The scriptures are clear you are not to pray to anyone but Jesus.

  • @tabor1869 you are misguided and a person with no knowledge.

  • @tabor1869 I would suggest you re-read your Scriptures. Yes, Jesus we pray to but we all do respect Mary as well as the Mother of God. It says in the Bible all generations shall call her blessed. So it's ok to ask the Theotokos to pray for us to her son Jesus. Why would anyone want to ignore and disrespect the very person who is the ultimate example of obedience to God?

  • Glory to God for all things!

  • Yes, this is a copy that started streaming myro in September of 2007 in Hawaii. It initially started streaming just before the 25th anniversary of the Montreal Iveron-icon's appearance (Nov. 2007) and the 10th anniversary of Br. Jose's death (Oct 2007). I saw this icon when it was at the Russian Cathedral in LA, I just happened to be there when it visited the parish. What a great blessing! The rose smell it generates is quite pungent.

  • God bless! Is this a copy of the Iveron-Icon of the Mother of God of Brother Jose ?
