Glad she discovered The Kick Inside as a child. She wouldn't sound THAT good without practice. I adore her voice. ANd yeah, this is my fav version of this song :) Although I'm a devoted KT fan.

"Big star" *laugh* She did a mini-tour in 2003 and asked for venues to play. A few people offered their homes. The house concerts were much better attended than the regular venues. In at least on city there were only 6 people at the regular venue.

Trying to think of someone you might not have heard of.. ok, lately i've been listening to this russian-japanese chick, Origa. pretty good stuff. She sang on the soundtracks of some animes and whatnot. She works with a composer named Yoko Kannon (i think that's how it's spelled.) Anyway, they both have stuff on youtube.

I was originally asking about Happy Rhodes's music because I recently found out about her and got addicted but I like hearing about other artists as well. I've never heard of Origa, so you've found something new for me. XD I listen to all kinds of music because my family has very diverse tastes. My dad is obsessed with Bob Dylan and a lot of classic rock and my sis listened to a lot of 80's and alternative.

i don't think you sound snobby at all. I get what you are saying though, i sometimes get paranoid about stuff like that too. The internet is great because you can find other people with the same interests as you but it can be frustrating (can't think of a better word) sometimes only having text to express yourself.

Oh and for a band recommendation, I think Scarling is cool. I was obsessed with them for a while (I go through phases XD). I don't know if I'm the best person to get advice from though. I won't deny that there's some mainstream stuff that I think is nice. Like I said, I'll listen to anything as long as it doesn't suck.

Hello, I'm 15 years old and a Kate Bush fan. I found out about Happy Rhodes a little while ago and I think she has a really good voice. Her music is really addicting. I only have her Warpaint album and couple mp3s but I have yet to get tired of them. :) This is a really good cover of one of my favorite Kate Bush songs. Thank you for posting this; it's nice to know what she's like live.
