  • its not about training hard but training smart...their body needs that time to heal and even out because from all that lifting your muscles become unbalanced which isnt good...if you treat your body right it will do you right

  • kobe doesn't take any days off because he could practice shooting the ball, i'm pretty sure there's a lot more reggie does than what he says because he has to do football drills alongside lifting. he says 4 days a week lifting but most likely almost everyday he should be doing cardio with running or swimming.

  • I've read everywhere that you shouldn't train for more than 1 hour in the gym cause your body starts breaking down muscle... Is it true cause I see all these huge dudes train for 2-3 hours.

  • @Dinos0001 Well you should on LIFT WEIGHTS for one hour, 2 hours max. you can TRAIN for 5 hours a day.

    but if you take steroids you can train for much longer

  • @Dinos0001 its a lie...everyones body works different...the bigger u get, the more ur muscles can withstand so u can go longer. I train for 4 hours 2 days a week. 3 hours 2 days a week. and a lil more than an hour once a week. The 4hour workout is all the calisthenics i can possibly do plus shoulders, abs and back lifting plus cardio. The 3 hour workout is my chest and triceps. The 1 hour workout is my legs and biceps plus cardio. Im looking and feeling great for fball lol

  • @Dinos0001 well its for more than 2hrs not 1 hr.. but yea i c that too its bc a lot of them take protein shakes on the way to the gym and while at the gym so i guess they can keep working out ... i usually dont workout more than 1:30

    and basketball is much more of a finesse game and skill required than football in my eyes since i play basketball

    the amount of hours to get your shot good and handles good is very very tiring and time consuming and to get it great is just unbelievable

  • @CrAcKaZaCK no its a different kind, football is more short term train to take impact basketball takes way more out of you because your running non stop for around 6 minutes straight on average, then you get a 30 second time out. football, after every 5 to 6 second play you get around a 20 to 30 second break.

  • @Phillyballplaye Yeah but I hope you relize that everybody is different. Some people can't handle 6 hours a day, I don't wanna get into details but some people don't need more than 1-2 hour day to be proffesional athlete or to be one of the best.

    Some people like to have 6 hours a day. Carmelo Anthony trains 2 hours a day and he is one of NBA best players. So it doesn't mean that Kobe is better just because he trains more, I actually find it bad to train so hard because your body need to rest.
