  • Dr. Robert A. Moog makes an appearance at 3:24.

  • Look at how copeland rushed to his drums...

  • Wow! memory lane. I miss the 80's

    room305.com

  • this is Chile, not brazil, estadio nacional

  • the bassline from 1:07 to 1:37 is very bad. i am a bassplayer, i think i can say it. it kills the rythm. anyway: a great performance by the divine mr. sting and his two friends summer und copeland. i like them

  • That's why I always say the only police I like have Sting in it

  • best song ever (Police)

  • sting abbaia.. terribbile

  • Boy did he walk through that.

  • that´s Maracanã instead of Maracaná

  • stweart is a very good drummer!!!

  • Very good work, Oiexxx, keep it up!

  • The emptiness left from the absence of the backup singers is what really makes The Police THE POLICE!

  • 3:48-3:50...is Sting a werewolf?

  • @javiramir7 LOL LOL i was wondering the same thing. that was really odd and random.

  • I still miss the Synchronicity Jacket...

  • iam sure ditching the back up singers and horn sections has to do with money....

  • @earlymtv I`m pretty sure none of them have any money problems...

  • copeland is bad ass. made it just in time for that first beat, then twirls the stick to show he's that good. lol

  • eric the greats blog

  • Check out this Canadian guys cover (sjeanmacleod). Superb!

  • temazo!!!!

  • Still going! They are unbelievable and will always be legends!

  • King of Pain!xD

  • Jesus is a huge Police fan. He told me the other day while we were having breakfast :)

  • Agree, Jesus is my college buddy. He is now a business man who own a Mexican restaurant.

  • umas das melhores músicas do the police!

    Muito boaaaa!

  • The wind won't shop! lol

  • stewart's snare mic ? anyone seen it ? Sure would be helpful to the monitor mixer too, probably help the band keep better time

  • LOL Touche! They have a click track in their IEMs. (There's a bootleg of their monitor mix from Japan.) I have to say, I LOVE the honesty of this mix ... big Taurus pedals, little "interesting" musical moments ... this is REAL unsweetened audio.

  • It's unbelievable that they got back together, at least for one tour! Isn't it there a DVD of this 2007 tour?

  • Yes. You can look for it on the Best Buy website.

  • Yes - in fact, I believe it's this show, albeit with a touched-up soundtrack. (which sounds REALLY good, btw)

  • muiot bom

    e ainda no Rio!!

    nooossa!!!...

  • Beautiful, great memories from this time in my life, thanks for this post olexxxxxx!

  • 3:44 - ooooooooh I love this!!! (No surprise actually, if you look at my nick *g*)

  • this song rocks

  • muito bom !!!

  • The 1984 Atlanta version on the Synchronicty Tour is much better than this.

  • Hey anyone know a Link of the VH1 Storytellers King Of pain , Best Ever , or did he Copyright it.. He need's another 50 yacht's to watterski behind ?

  • my fave police song wish theyd rerealse it as a stand alone single and it could be a little re worked like in which like the live version theres no pino

  • sonofa bitch (testing Audio preview tool) hehe

  • Sting is god

  • and if not God then at least KING (of music)! ; )

  • love this song

  • the best version Montreal 1983!!!

  • Not the same energy(age)

but the talent its still there.

  • That tour was Magical tho. was in Dublin at Croke Park watching them and its something ill remember for the rest of my life.

  • What are those spinning cymbals called that Stewart uses. I want them lol.

  • You mean the crotales?

  • Oh! The Paiste discs!

  • Yeah.

  • are you kidding?? back up singers are what ruined the police in the 80's.. come on, you only need the 3.. iam so glad they ditched those back up singers......

  • @earlymtv Couldn't agree more, this tour was possibly their best tour because of it.

  • @earlymtv i liked the 80's backup singers

  • @earlymtv

Totally agreed they are so much better off as a three piece band.

  • Are you nuts? The old school flavor keeps it authentic. Back up singers SUCK.

  • wish they had back-up singers for this tour. what were they thinking?

  • Are you crazy? Classic stuff!

  • I quite miss the marimba thing in the start. But this version is good too. Andy, you rock :)

  • Stewart was playing the marimba at the beginning. He had to run back to the kit before the song started. Unfortunately, Sting's vocals and bass seem to take prominence over everything else in the mix, so the marimba was buried.

  • Comment removed

  • @dharmaseed No, Copland was playing bells, not a marimba in this performance. What you are hearing is the bass, no marimba. The studio version has the marimba.

  • I think this version is slightly better than the album version.

    Yeah, Andy!

  • The best version to Atlanta 1983 !

  • Most bands as they age modulate songs to suit the singer's fading voice. These guys don't. That's a testament to Sting's amazing talent and taking care of himself. NICE.

  • They take Wrapped around your finger down a tone and a half to accommodate Sting's voice but you're right, he did take great care of himself. You can't defend yourself against age though.

  • always the best...sounds so sweet!!!

  • Most innovative band in history. God bless The Police.

  • love this verison of the song... sounds very good!!!
