i wish i had enough money to fill mine up to 3/4 tank, and my tach doesn't fuckin work either. neither does my ignition, gotta use a pair of pliers to start her up lol
These trucks are not made for doing stupid things with them. There made for hauling and towing so that's why there very low geared, mine only gets to 75mph.
C6 and only 62 MPH @2800 RPM damn, i'm not sure about the ratio in our Motorhome but it's an 1987 E350 with a 6.9 Diesel with C6 and it has the same top speed as my 5 speed truck ~75MPH.
hehe Yeah I'm pretty sure the old one blew up so we had the 7.3 sitting out in the junkyard, put it in, completely re-done the body put some Bowles Garage logos on it and it's just like new:P Thanks for the compliment!
you can blow up an idi. I was helping a friend start his and he insisted on using ether so we did. It started but when we took off you couldnt see anything behind us for the coolant smoke. It cracked the #1 cylinder wall from top to bottom. We sleeved it and rebuilt it and no he doesnt use ether. Fixed the glow plug system instead.
yeah but diesels have that low end grunt gas engines dont, they sound cooler, size for size they are more efficent, pollute less, and they last alot longer and not to mention they hold there value alot longer. Real trucks dont need spark plugs bud

there isn't even any frost on the truck. Is it really that cold? A gas vehicle would start on a day like this easily and you wouldn't have to wait for the stupid glow plugs.
uhhh no buddy, you ever heard of a 6.9L powerstroke... didn't think so. the powerstroke was a completely different engine than the 7.3 IDI. It was just a coincidence that they were the same displacement.
yes the 7.3 idi wasnt a powerstroke the 7.3 with directinjection was because of the electronic injectors so idi 7.3's are just international engines put in fords but are un touchable i saw a guy run it for 4 hours with no oil because the oil bung fell out and it kept chuggin along because of the diesel leaking around the cylinder walls lubricating it so to me a 7.3 is a hell of truck motor
truck was 91 dually ( crew cab) i bought the truck as a bit of a hodgepodge lol so the pstroke decal may have been added. but it was DEFINATELY non turbo
gotta love those failing analog gauges...be happy you're not working with a digital dash and power supply that doesn't work no matter how much you resolder the fuckin' contacts.
You yanks love buring up all the fuel don't you! I bet you wouldn't have such big engines if you had to pay £1.35 pounds for one litre! But i guess that is just the UK government f**Kin us all over
Wow. I just did the calculations, and that's $10.80/gallon! We pay less than half that in Connecticut. By the way, we aren't the only ones with big engines. You guys have so many impractical sports cars and supercars that get worse gas mileage than this truck. At least trucks like this serve a purpose.
