I think some of this footage is from the 1980s and beyond. Not the Cambodian civil war from 1970-75. The Khmer Rouge in this period wore distinctive Chinese military uniforms. The others are probably other non-Communist fighters who were in coalition with them, from the likes of the KPNLAF etc.

No, those images of camo-clad soldiers are not FANK (Lon Nol's army, 1970-1975). Those are images from the 1980's taken of the "Sihanoukist" and "KPNLF (Khmer People's National Liberation Front)" fighters in the border regions with Thailand. The Vietnamese-installed government of Hun Sen could not control those regions and those groups, with the Khmer Rouge remnants fought Hun Sen's guys, with Viet Army help. They got money from the PRC and USA(!)
