Not sure how you make these--but I hope you keep doing them--they are such greatness--so much easier to figure out a song. And then you have something else to play it against to see how it sounds together. (Not to mention using it to play that song.) Thanks!
These sound great, thanks for posting. I'm desperately trying to get a copy of this for my band to cover live, but without the chorus backing vocals. Can you help me or give me any advice?
Absolutely wonderful. We musicians try to deconstruct stuff in our heads, but never quite get there, and can't hear all the details without blowing out our ears.
I just tried it on my iPod Touch on a school's wireless network (which believe me is some pretty difficult downloading conditions) and it worked perfectly fine. The problem is probably your Internet. Try downloading it somewhere else.
Unfortuantely, I do not have stereo versions. The only tracks in Who Are You (of the master that I have) that are stereo are 2 out of the three drum tracks.
However, if you look in the description box for WAY Isolated Vocals, you will see that I have now added a download for it, in both the original WAV format and a converted MP3 version.
Enjoy, and I hope the tracks come in useful for you.
@thankyoupourlavideo thanks a lot that anyway, that is a shame, but both will still be very helpful. i'm doing a cover with my band, i'm sure we can still do something epic, although we really never stood a chance of doing the who real justice, with or without stereo, but it should be a cool number in the set.
where do you get these maters from anyway? they are great for learning songs as well.
It's not a synth, it's a guitar. ;)

Very helpful in figuring out the synth part, that I may program my own version for my home recording project.

This track proves that Pete was more than a decent piano player. He was really good. I wonder if he played the piano on Sally Simpson.

Anyone know where I might might a soundfont for the synth bass sound in the intro? Or perhaps some settings on the synth he used?

Pete Townsend got the synthesizer sound in this song by processing his guitar through his ARP 2600. I love the sound!

Sounds to me like a guitar track processed through an ARP.

I will process this file to get the left and right panning back and post it once it's done.

@thankyoupourlavideo thanks for this video love the acoustic and second bass line at the end, both layers just don't notice on whole track.
i was wondering if you had a stereo version of this, and also of the isolated vocals video you did? a WAV of both is what i'm after... thanks
