Slurpee, this paper war game has been around for ages and has never gotten old! I used to love this game. Some kid in 6th grade (when I was in 2nd grade) showed me how to play this - except he used boats.
I play a little differently than want you've shown though, different guys/weapons/etc. The weapon changes what you draw on the paper as well.
No big lines like you were drawing - that's too easy, man! :)
Just to let you know, I am currently making this game with AGS.
Its like battleship.

you could play this alone and make your own missions like make more sencery and then you have to kill this then that and stuff
