It's funny because when I watched the movie to kept denying the viewer lines that would make Edward interesting. Like when Edward says "I have killed before." It tells nothing about his character. If he had fallowed with "and I fear I will kill again." That would make you want to know more about him as a person.

Also the story lacks the most important rule of good writing which is "Show don't tell." As a result everything felt forced and denied explanation.
