let's me help you to think more broadly - that if you have a pole that's bigger that the pole that u have been familiared with, and in reverse that if you have even a smaller pole than what i am holding in this vid - can you apply wingchun pole technique? this is very important to clarify! good luk friend

What pole have you been training with as i believe the proper dragon pole weighs 2-3kg.
I have been training with an 8 ft staircase banister rail from my local hardware store.
There are lot of wing chunners whom train with the light version, this is all for show, come to combat using a pole & they would suck.
I understand your theory as regards using an heavier pole to train then a lighter one eventually to tighten up and sharpen the moves.
