  • That horse is too big for her?;p

  • I do Cross Country. FUN! Dangerous, VERY but fun!!!!!!!!!!

  • very good 1st lesson!

  • You should have been riding a smaller horse. And I ride kinda tall horse at the age of nine and I just went horse riding this morning. And you seemed a bit scared like me when i WAS that age but now im 11

  • You NEVER ride in whellies!

  • @cookiepony - But the pink boots are what makes this so cute!!

    : )

  • @wall1967 yeah its so cute! :D sorry :(

  • @wall1967 I don't want to be mean, but it's not a good idea, no matter how cute. Not only do those boots have no heel (which means that Annie could slip her foot out of the stirrup accidently or worse, all the way in. That means that if she fell off with her foot all the way in, she'd be dragged on the ground, possibly breaking her neck) but they wouldn't protect her foot if she got stepped on (so she would break her foot, and this does happen often, I've been stepped on countless times!

  • If you ever wanted to, you could get Annie pink riding boots with a steel toe and heel for her safely.

  • i just started riding again in kokomo indiana i rode 2 years ago for a while but im soo happy i started. Today was my first lesson for this year on a beautiful horse named thunder

  • gorgeous horse. (:

  • I want to start riding but the stable near me is stopping riding lessons and turning it into a livery yard at the end of this month :(

  • She's so cute! :P

  • For a first lesson that was really good. I hade one lesson on my cosins horse Alfie and I was petrified I thought I was going to fall of but I got the hang of it and loved. Tis a shame my mum wouldn't let me start riding lessons

  • wow great job Annie

  • WOW! She is a great little rider! She is going to LOVE what's up ahead for her. Horseback riding is very addicting. She is so cute too, and the horse was so gentle!

  • Thank you!! ; )

  • I can still remember my first lessons four years ago..

I'm glad she was kept busy with the horse and do some things even by herself, that's how it has to be xD

  • Aw, she and the horse are adorable. Keep up the riding!

  • OMG too cute! Annie, you are adorable and so is Lily! Great Job! Are you still riding??

  • thank you! : ) Yep - still riding!!

  • Do you still ride Lily?? I must continue seeing you ride! It's been a year so I bet you've gotten better! Please make another video of you riding!

  • Please see 'video response' ... from yesterday's riding lesson! : )

  • omg that picture at the end was sooo cute! Annie is adorable and Lily is a big and very beautful and sweet horse! Totally Cute!

  • she's holding the saddle i did that to lol!

and she was really good two thumps up!!!

  • not bad for the first try. the confidence could be better but something like that will only come with time! good job for the first try keep working at it!

  • Thanks! : ) This video was from almost a year ago... she's been sticking with it & I posted an update as a "video response" above...

  • it was about a year ago when i had my first riding lesson i was terrified because i was on an ex-racehorse that was tall but after a few lessons i realized as well as my instructor that i had a ton of natural ability let me do something once and i get it the second time now i am riding with people who have been riding for 3 and 4 years and i'm the best in my class. so i'm glad i stayed with it and i'm sure annie did too. it is so much fun!

  • I still remember my first lesson about eight years ago. I rode a huge horse(Well, I was small), a grey named Blizzard (how imaginitive) and it was bareback. it was Western technique, though I ride English now, but it was the best day of my life. A couple years later, I was at a camp and the horse I was on bolted and I got really scared. So, I went back a few years later with band, and we went for a trail ride. I got on that same horse, and I haven't been even a little scared since.

  • that was sooo cute

  • SHe looks good on a horse, but that hrose is rather large for her!

  • Lily is a big girl, but she's such a sweetheart.

There really aren't any smaller horses like Lily. I think that the smaller the horses get at Oakland Hills, the brattier they are. ;) There are some ponies but they're all very hard to ride.

  • Better to ride something thats nice and big, rather than horrible and small...!

  • has she learned to jump yet?

  • Not quite yet ... but working toward it!

  • Dose she own a horse? and btw she was good for her 1st time:)

  • Thks :) no... we just use the horses at the farm, but they are very good. We need to make another video, since she's been riding for months now & is getting much better!

  • First lessona dns ehw as trotting??? on a lunging rope??

  • That horse is so cute and calm! Good lesson for a first lesson!

BTW, is that an English or a western saddle? I can't tell. . . .

  • english

  • where is that

  • Oakland Hills Farm, Michigan

  • HMM that looks familiar XD

you gotta love Lily, don't you? I rode her for like 6 months - it was a blast. she's such an angel! Now I either ride Leo - he's the one who looks like a dalmation hahaha.

Jess is a great instructor, Annie's lucky to be able to start out with her (I went through 2 yrs and two instructor before i met jess)

Do you guys still go there?

  • Hi! Yes - We're at lessons on Sunday afternoons usually - Jess is the best!! : )

We like your video of Jack!!! Thanks for your commment!!! : )

  • oh really? I ride on Fridays at 4. One of my friends used to ride sundays.

    she really is.

thanks ;] it's funny, i wasn't even riding with Jess in that video. she was at a show so i was having a lesson with Anne Marie.

  • hey gurl u look good up there for ur first lesson and i love the pink boots i have green boots lol anyways cute horse too

  • ty!! : )

  • Wow she looks very good for her first lesson! let me tell you, between irish dance and horseback riding, i don't know which ones more expensive!

    -a fellow IDer/equestrian :)

  • lol ... thanks!!

For now we've got one in Irish dance, and one in riding - she needed a break from dance, but is going to soon be in both. So far Irish Dance is more expensive!! (Detroit Feis is tomorrow - see you there??)

  • Hi Annie,

Looks like fun! Thanks for sending.

    Miss Carrie :-)

  • Looking great Annie!!
