After watching this I went to read about it on Wikipedia and I think it is a bit silly to wait until 8113 to open it, they would have probably forgotten it's there by then lol
Stephen Fry is wrong, i worked out the math. the time capsule was made in 1936. Here's why, from 4241BC to 1936AD, 6177 years have passed, if you add that number to 1936 AD you'll get the 8113 AD opening time. Where as if you use 1940, the difference would be 6181 and if you add that number to 1940, that'll be 8121AD.
@jacksawild Those weren't supposed to be time capsules, certanly the tombes weren't. They were just graves, they were never ment to be opened by graverobbers nore archeologists to find out what happened some I don't know how many years ago. I was talking about a deliberate burried time capsule, with the purpose of reopening it in the future.
That made me think: "it contains the Bible, the Qu'ran, the Iliad..."
If in the year 8113 they did open it, how would they tell the difference? What would indicate that one book is a work of fiction and the two are, well, works of fiction which everyone happens to believe?

Qi should make a time capsule. It'll just be a bucket of water over the door, a large ball pit, and footage of that moon-walking bird.

I assume they mean 8113BC? Was the Koran even around then? That year seems a little off...
Wait, 8118 by what calendar?
Xanatos712 1 year ago
@Xanatos712 No I believe they mean 8113 CE(Common Era). Not BCE (Before Common Era)

In case he's still wondering, Sean would be 6,150 years old if he could wing it to 8113.

I want to study on university in Atlanta, they seem to be interested in the most important things, just like me.
