  • I can't watch this, you're too real :)

  • @Mr59plexi Wow, you are SO rude. Happiness (with an "i" not a "y") is when people don't say rude comments about your body, especially immature words like "tits", but whatever.

  • I am EXTREMELY happy and euphoric. The main way for a person to be happy is to be grateful for whatever they have. They also do not have to acheive anything to be happy. Happy people are at peace and they don't have anything to prove to other people or themselves. They are productive if they want to be and at peace if they are not productive. Happy people are at peace, grateful, thankful and they are on very high raw food diets with mostly free flowing omega 3 fatty acids. etc...etc..

  • Is there anything more annoying than a pretty girl rambling endlessly like she has something important to say? Get naked already!

  • The guy @ 7:39 gets my vote for world's worst artist. Unless he's drawing John Kennedy. Then he's pretty good.

  • Happiness would be a relationship with a girl like this, there was a time when I could have met someone like this.

  • You do not need a Purpose to Be Happy, because the ego cannot create happiness.

Happiness is your Natural State of Being, It cannot be created.

It is your non-acceptance that makes you unhappy, the solution is not changing the situation because the ego will always find something to be unhappy about through its pattern of resisting what is.

The answer lies is letting go of resistance, accepting the situation fully as it is. Then if change is needed it can occur in positive wisdom, not by ego.

  • Why is she sitting with her leg wagging. Is she mentally ill - trying to find happiness?

  • Come check out my blog on Wordpress. I am Elementalselfblog. I write specifically for those of us who have dealt with Depression. I post often and about many helpful topics.

  • @Mr59plexi you need help

  • why is she SMILING as she is talking about her good friend's cocaine addiction?

  • @BiShBrAt Maybe she's his coke dealer.

  • Bad audio quality...

  • lol

  • Actually, the Declaration Of Independence mentions the pursuit of happiness, not happiness itself. In other words, you have every right in the world to pursue it, but there's no guarantee you'll find it. It's about the journey, not the destination. At least that's my take on it anyway.

  • Hi and thanks for sharing this :) Please let me know if you have any recordings of the music or lyrics or songs you talk about in the video and if so where can I get or download it ? :)

  • As someone who's been down the road of suicidal depression, anti-depressants, drug abuse, alchohol abuse, all of it.. The only thing that brought me out was a reprogramming of my thinking. (Cognitive Therapy). The automatic thoughts like "see, I'm not good at this" or "eh, she would think I'm boring" .. it is those little things you tell yourself that crush your emotions, your hope, your motivation. Laying in bed seems like the thing to do, then you feel bad about THAT. Change your thinking.

  • great vid thank, keep it up

  • In life there are certain sores which, like a kind of canker, slowly erode the soul in solitude.

  • excellent video. I wasted so many years on zoloft and alcohol. During that phase of my life I accomplished very little and had a low self esteem. It is so true that accomplishing goals learning new things can make a huge difference.

  • sigh.. was too distracted by her eyebrows being different sizes

  • Wow, this is such an ignorant bullshit.

Telling a clinical depressed person to search for happiness is like telling a person without legs to find his favourite running style.

Depressed people lack most of the neurotransmitters necessary to feel hapiness! They are PHYSICALLY UNABLE to feel it!

  • For a practical depression cure...go to majicmirra The activity is fun and usable forever!

  • Depression is only an expression of our lack of freedom. We want to do or experience something and we can not because of some limitations. So we are depressed because we are stopped in what we want to experience.

  • Life is a prison

  • I made a video in your honor called "Saved By An Angel"it's on my page..

  • @Mr59plexi I am happy after reading this.

  • Hey guys check my blog its about my depressing life and this is the only thing keeping me going so... if you take a look and read about it it would mean alot link is in my channel

  • I feel so sad daily, I want to die, but i wont because my kids will miss me. I do not know what to do other than self harm to feel better temporarily

  • @FourCornersOfReality: I know exactly how you feel.

  • think meds might be of some use..to provide a boost of some sort

  • I then arrived to where I am now. Now I seek a transformation. I know everything that contributed to my depression but im still there where such stuff dwells. I want to be on the other side and to get there all these approaches you suggest in the video are key. I feel extremely better than I have ever felt going through this shit, but the problem with me is my periods of happiness always get interrupted by depression and then I have to start all over again it seems sometimes and this is where i

  • This is really good! I think medication might be of some help. I've had depression for about 4 years now. Of those 4 years I only took meds for about 2 months, then decided they werent for me. I wasted time, wallowing in useless depression for so long. Then I decided I needed answers. I forgot about all the superficial shit, all my angst to fit in with friends, all this mainstream bullshit and looked at life right in the eyes. I learned about my illness and the world and so much other shit

  • makes sense. however i must say that (due to chemical imbalances in the brain) some people seek help, go on medication & have been cured. i know some of them personally. it mainly happens when people cannot face pressure from their jobs or socially. but some people can take any shit thrown at them. they're just plumb thick. it's all about genetic make up in the end. evolution & survival of the fittest. Darwin was right.

  • Fuck religion why not just get high if you're going to live in a world of delusion anyway?

  • If she personally, had ever suffered from MAJOR DEPRESSIVE DISORDER she would feel completely different about medication! I wish it were that SIMPLE! lol!!!

  • She is very accurate. What she says is abso true. I wish she would mentor me and guide me towards the truth. Will she give me her email address? will someone please?

  • This video made me happy. God bless you for laying this bitchslap on all the Jersey Shore-loving bitches of the world - no purpose in life.

  • she takes herself pretty seriously and that's NOT hapiness that's sad.

  • ...cameo made by piano

but seriously depression is such a bitch. I am starting to see that you sometimes gotta force yourself to go out and do things and not sit around all the time watching youtube! xD

but its confusing because i was really busy while i had my eating disorder but now i am slowing down and eating i get dragged down into depression.

gonna try being creative. one thing she missed : forming more/better quality friendships! I think that that is SUCH an important part 2 life

  • I just smoke and don't think. That way I dont think. And I smoke. Win win.

  • 906 videos? Wow. I wonder what the aim of this channel is.

I agree with this. I gave up on studying psychology in college because of reaching these conclusions myself. I believe cognitive psychology works - that is simply conscious betterment, knowing your own mind. Happiness and LOVE let's say it please! Is not accessible through psychiatry!

  • shes a goddess

  • I think she is depressing. I was happy before I watched the video. I was just here by chance. Now I am sad.

  • @pbr2424 I am happy actualy after I listen her Thank You.

  • @pbr2424 lol (:o)

  • Staying busy, creating and achieving goals, and...creating; all great things to combat depression. I was VERY depressed over the last few years, culminating with the death of my mother. A friend advised me to "create in your darkness". So, I got back into music. Give a listen to my track "Stay", written about the last moments with my mom before she died. (not a plug...just want to show the fruit of creation/depression victory. just loaded a video here.

  • Has this woman ever been genuinely depressed? These things she states as absolute fact are very far from true. I know when I'm doing nothing and have no real goals is generally when I'm happiest. I'm not saying this is the case for everybody, but she seems to think it is the case for nobody. She also speaks out against porn and casual sex. What's wrong with those? Maybe you could make a case against casual sex, but what can anybody possibly have against porn? It doesn't make me depressed at all.

  • Looking at your facejust made me happy! WoW

  • Take a little while to be "alone" with yourself; but not like you're all alone on this planet and no one cares for you. But alone with that part of you that you KNOW is good; and that you can love and trust; and you KNOW it is there, because the world is not all black and white; and you konw it is there, because... you are looking for it, because that's what you're actually seeking!! And that, my friend, is the first bit of it, the rest will follow! the rest is there to find! :)

  • You just have to make a lot of courage, and confidence in yourself, not hyde anymore, confront your problems like an adult. Use your capacities! Mobilise, take action. Because depression is not but a kind of deer stare in the headlights attitude. But it has its positive part, though, and that means a depressive person is a sensitive person and being depressed also means turning to yourself and looking at what lies there. You may not like it, but then, you will find that you have to change it .

  • Antidepressants are sometimes necessary; and that's because when a major depression strikes, you're not in controll of yourself anymore, you are very weak and confuse. But, yes, this is not a very long term solution, it's just a little help so that you can get to the point in which you can make it on your own to work it through the depression. On the other hand, if think you can cling on meds forever, you're in serious trouble!!

  • i think u just heal my depression.. just by looking at ur beautiful face ...

  • I would be happy to be with the speaker Mmmmmmmmmmm

  • We need to have a holistic approach to our social reality, the issue at heart is how we are providing for our material and social needs, the way we are is just insane and involves so much suffering, exploitation and destruction, The market mechanism is politically manipulated, the wages system is the MEANS of class exploitation, and PROFIT just rules life and denies humanity its true potential , WE NEED TO SHARE OUR WORLD FOR OUR COMMON NEEDS and WELL BEING.

  • Happiness is when You are getting all your needs met...

  • Depression is a positive sign alerting you to a weakened spiritual life. Want real change?

  • Thanks to this video. I now understand that sense gratification cannot really make a person happy. That it really cannot cure depression. Having a goal really helps.

  • There's no doubt that people - IN GENERAL - nowadays are taking antidepressive medicine as if it was a soft drink and many doctors prescribe in a iresponsible way. But this girl above is extremely naive about what is a severe depression and a state of suffering beyond words..what is true despair..feeling like suicide is not a joke and is an excruciating pain and for these situation the antidepreessive is indeed a fantastic relief taking carefuly of course and thanks god they're available!!

  • Read "Happy for no reason" by Marci Shirmoff it's awesome!

  • happiness is getting laid daily .

  • It's the same old formula: find something outside of us to MAKE US HAPPY and then it fades away! Thanks to the book 'Happiness Is a Choice' by Barry Neil Kaufman, I now have the 'key': I can decide to be happy and not unhappy (my usual state) right now. I feel 'up' most of the time and when I 'fall', I know how to get back 'up' there right away - not hours or days from now. It's just an attitude I decide to take & not something that I did or received from the outside.

  • I think happiness is not the opposite of depression. Happiness is an emotion, depression is a mood or a chronic state. Happiness' opposite is sadness. Depression's opposite is hypomania. One cannot simply "decide" to be happy, as happiness is not a state, though it cannot be permanent.

  • beer, I salute you

  • What if your symptoms are getting in the way of you feeling happy?? i.e you're having panic attacks out of the blue for no reason, and by no reason i mean no trigger, things are going good in your life taking steps to realize personal goals and bam you get anxiety for no reason. Obviously something is going wrong with the nervous system and there is a biological cause. One size doesn't fit all, just because you didn't need anti depressants or found them useless doesn't mean other people don't.

  • at least you wear clothes.

  • Thank you for this video.

  • your hot

  • I can't understand this person. The audio is very muddy and she should try and annunciate. But her message I'm sure is good , I just think she should clean it up a bit in an audio editor.

  • post hoc, ergo propter hoc

  • Such a succinct summary of all the difference in the world between happiness & depression! I agree that the recommendations : finding a hobby/interest/goal & helping others are two steps that I personally know to be great methods!

The main point about psychiatry is so on the mark...

  • Psychiatry...whatever! Just another institution to keep you going along with the grand (man-made) illusion. If you think the establishment of psychiatry is designed to help you then you are either part the system or your a sheep.

FUUUCCKKK I hate false sincerity!!!! (psychiatrist says to patient: "yes I want to help you and my fee is $95 per hour")

  • @lateralus411 yeah! I like the crocodile Dundee take on that, a guy said to him " I have to go and see my shrink" Dundee says "what's a shrink?"

the guy says "someone I talk to about my problems" dundee says "what havent you got any mates?"

  • wow, she is stunningly beautiful, the lighting may have something to do with it though

  • Very strong video reminds me of the secret

  • Is that a balwin piano behind you? Or a Boston?

  • @arzoyan even though your comment is spammed I agree with You...

  • Ok this lady is talking out of her ass.

  • @videowatcheer shut up u closed minded niger

  • @Mrsmartypants200 LOL what? good response!!!

  • Is she talking about reaching one's own "ha-Penis"?

I have done it the moment she showed her boobies.

  • Maybe touching your boobs will make me happier xD

Nevermind it's quiet right for creativness but it works only if you're almost a the top of the Hierarchy of Needs.

  • Better to be sober and sad rather than happy and drunk. Psychiatry is the true cure, religion is the placebo.

  • @macintub someone who talks like this has never been truly sick and suffered.

  • @videowatcheer if you only knew. That's all I have to say.

  • @macintub sorry, what comment are you responding too? LOL are you for or against what I had to say ;)

  • Very good advice. One thing i am wondering about psychetruth is who writes these texts, is it these women or someone behind the scene?

  • EXCELLENT ADVICE ON DEPRESSION

  • thank you for your time and inspirational video

i'd like to add that also sustaining a smile for 30 seconds in a genuine way improves your general mood

  • thank you your words are very kind and helpful

  • I AGREE WITH EVERYTHING YOU SAID EXCEPT THE PART OF CREATING YOUR OWN PERPOUSE.

  • If you don't have happiness as a goal you won't reach it. Beautiful. Without the practice of happiness you won't find it. You have to work at happiness just like anything else. Note: Desire is the source of suffering.

  • i'm not interested in her, does that make me depressed?

    "no your gay" - "ffffffffuuuuuuuu"

  • Nicely said. Lots of truth & wisdom here.

    TYVM,

    Namaste

  • pan down

  • What I know about this video that Your company is happiness and your distance is depression

  • @Hertsman50 -- ah, maybe in the beginning.... but every mountain of achievement incurs great effort, cost, or both. But I agree with ya in principle...

  • so pretty . just to hang out with you will make one happy.

  • Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.

    Abraham Lincoln

  • This actually makes a lot of sense

  • she looks like a mix between alison hannigan and sarah michelle gellar

  • watching this vid makes me happy!

  • If I was fucking this bitch every night I would be a very happy guy.

  • It's not HAPPINESS, it's the 'pursuit of happiness.' You big dummy. Can't you understand the written word? The bible talks about seeking the kingdom of heaven through Jesus Christ. Doesn't talk about happiness at all. There is JOY, PEACE, LOVE through the Christ. You are a big dummy!

  • Thanks

  • Those mountains you have been endowed with.....if think i can climb them and suck the peaks......then i will be trully happy.

See how easy it is tp find happiness.....its simple.

  • I stummbled across your video by pure chance but i must say i found it very interesting, heartfelt and inspiring. You are a great example to others just by taking the time to help those less fortunate, lost, or in need of some usefull guidence. I particularly liked the way you did not preach... you just wanted to help people. Very noble indeed. Bless you and may your God go with you.

  • beautiful n sexy

  • Cass, please keep making videos. I love every one of your videos that I have watched. They help me a lot.

  • I like her

  • Comment removed

  • She's my new "higher power"-awesome!

  • I am very interested in her C-cups

  • wow shes friends with a drug addict!!??

  • I would hate if she were my psychiatrist.

    I think she sucks

  • Haha probably cause she is not telling you what you would like to hear like many shrinks do...i would much rather hear someone tell me the blunt truth that can help me get ahead then have someone try to comfort me with what she know's is bullshit...to evolve...you have to face the truth.

  • no i dont even know what she is talking about., but the moment I heard her voice i was like no. The only thing is that i dont like the way she talks

  • Oh...well i think she was right all the way.

  • you are a sweetheart.nThank u:)

  • This is a great video, would you possibly think of uploading this in HD? It would be 100% worth it. :)

  • 0__o!

    Just realised something ... thanx

I guess I was going the right way after all ^__^

    Great video!!

  • That was...not what I expected. It was a good video. Thanks to my cousin Jojo for sending it to me. You know I'm going through a very hard time and you're trying everything you can to help me. Thanks!! mwah

  • Great video, thank you!

  • btw whats the difference between a purpose and a goal?

    can anyone help me out?

  • I think perhaps the difference is:

goals are specific and measureable...like, I want to buy healthy food today.

a purpose is less measurable...like, I want to be happy. I want to do good in the world.

    Perhaps? Does that help? =)

  • @lessthan3lyse yes ty

  • OMFG shut the hell up about her breast. wtf ur totally missing the point..

  • The point! you mean her nipples? lol

  • And don't forget that Misery loves company, so don't hang around miserable people, that are pissed off at the world, and everything in it. Hang around them very long, then you will be totally miserable, and pissed of at the world, and everything in it too.

  • Very good advice, from a very beautiful and confident woman!

  • I make videos and that makes me happy because I like to laugh because my videos are funny.

  • Thanks Again Zoe!! Ur Great. Luv the Wisdom of Buddha too! :-)

  • bitchnigga U gay

  • Your just a fool.why did you look it up in the 1st place.you dont want to accept the harsh reality of your existance so you dissrespect everyone else,s view.grow a pair you whimp

  • Why can't we all just get along?........Rodney King

  • Youre very pretty with red hair

  • I find if you change inwardly first, the outside will reflect that, society is designed to keep you in a state of fear, loose the fear and always live in the moment and love unconditionally, and remember what you focus on is what you will experience.

  • Great video and some great pointers to remember. Thank you.

  • u r truly great, teaching people how to conquer their minds.

  • I tend to think that the place of psychology and psychiatry is to get people who have an illness back to zero. After that, I think their "happiness" is up to them. Psychiatry can also help one to deal with emotions and challenges in life in a healthy way, yet once again, this has little to do with "happiness". I must admit that traditional views on happiness espoused here are frustrating to me...

  • There are many different contexts in which the term "happiness" is used. Happiness as a transient emotional state may be a response to a specific event. In another context, we might use happiness to describe a deep sense of fulfillment with life on an ongoing basis. In that context, it has more to do than neurotransmitters encoding an emotion. Happiness, though, is not always the primary goal. Dealing with adversity through other emotions is normal and necessary.

  • Life is not to be experienced with one all-pervading emotion or mood. Mood waxes and wanes. I don't find that chasing "happiness" is the optimum path for life. I unfortunately find this video to be overly simplistic. It instills the idea that just getting out there and doing things is the cure for depression when it is not for all people. People are often unhappy for specific reasons, and dealing with those specific reasons -- removing obstructions, in my opinion, is a better approach.

  • y ou are very wrong there.obviously there are differenent forms of depression but short term i think getting out amongst people is a good idea.depression in itself is confighnment of the mind.i,e...being locked inside a 4x4 cell.there may be many different reasons for such behaviour but hiding away in ones shadow is not the right thing to do.socialising is key to escaping this mood and friendship plays a huge part

  • I respectfully disagree. I think that my difficulty in accepting your position is that your assessment of depression is inaccurate. Antisocial behavior and avoiding people can be a symptom of depression in which the feelings of not wanting to be with other people is an obstruction itself. Dealing with the reasons why someone is antisocial is a first step in getting them to even make the commitment to socialize...

  • Regardless of the activities that one does, whether alone or with others, certain "issues" are going to keep coming back over and over again. Taking time independently to work through them and even entertaining periods of self-imposed isolation can be helpful in working through those issues. Simply chasing a better "mood" can override the fact that inner "work" needs to be done, and can postpone it...

  • There's nothing wrong with doing some things that are healthy to improve one's mood, including social activities. But focusing on just "getting out there and doing things", in my opinion, can be fruitless if one does not make a genuine commitment to dealing with the issues that are causing the depression. And this may entail some periods of isolation and quiet contemplation. As a manic depressive, chasing a better mood is disastrous (from personal experience).

  • What if you're schizoid? Meaning you have no need for company.

  • People cause depression, so that means we need to fix people. More fixed people, less depression, Grasshopper!

  • When she talks about Psychiatry there are deep rooted repressive thoughts that she carries forward. She is jaded from her own experience with psychiatry. She should understand her life is very limited experience. Through meditation one can transcend such thinking.

  • Its very distracting that you are sexually attractive. It seems intensional to use nice ladies to put forward their ideas.
