  • I kinda like the KA-90's myself. But seeing PT-6's that small with the Variable pitch props is awsome

  • looked small until 1:05

  • I ment, make this a 1900D and itll even more awesome!

  • Make this a 1900D

  • What a masterpiece!! WOW!! Please post more videos, and maybe some close up shots.

  • Ladies and gentlemen, we are experiencing a little turbulence and we would ask you at this time to return to your seats and fasten your seat belts.

  • RESPECT!!!

  • Bringing my love for turbines and propellers, together in harmony!, Bea..Utiful!!!

  • I am in AWE!

There is far more involved with a Turbo Prop than with Jet... and Variable Pitch Propellers Wow... all I can say is this is amazing!

Best RC I have ever seen....

    Thank you for sharing!!!!

  • Outstanding!!!

  • I have maintained and flown many aircraft over the years and this is by far the best civilian aircraft ever built in my opinion. Your tribute is awsome.

  • Beyond belief - what a nice build. I notice that a lot of extra large scale planes are flown in a similar size pattern that we fly our smaller scale models in due to the layout of model airfields.

In my opinion, this is a risky practice because it puts the plane in attitudes that can cause a crash.

The models obviously have different loading and flight characteristics than full scale, so keep this in mind and fly a large pattern.

Now I'll see if I can get this armchair to taxi out. Bill

  • Are these model gas turbines purchased ones or home made?

  • Thank you for sharing this with us. What's the thrust from each (or combined thrust) turboprop ?

  • Unbelievable scale work OMG, who made the gearboxes???,,,the nose landing gear trunion looks the real one is it chain driven too?? Ja JA.

  • haha the turbo makes it take a way in like 10 meters

  • ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC !!!! Incredible build - that is a labor of love, engineering, sweat, time and money. The only pieces not absolutely scale are the visible control horns, but onboard start, variable pitch props, superb landing gear, impeccable fit and finish, handmade wheels and tires even !! To top it off - amazing piloting in what would amount to a scale HURRICANE and still bring it in for a soft, perfect landing !! I'm way beyond impressed - I've watched this 12 times - amazed each time !!

  • super cool......awesome landing

  • Wow... I love it. Does it burn kerosene?

  • TRYHARD LOL

  • only one word: WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fantastic plane u have there!! Impressive scale built, i love it!!!

  • my dad is a king air pilot and this flys very much like the real thing

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH

  • I wonder if it has Known Icing capabilities? ....nice R/C!!

  • you built that yourself? that's bloody impressive

  • Dear santa...

  • impressive... nice landing

  • Spectacular!!

  • Totally stunning. I love it. Awesome choice of aircraft, the King Air is king.

  • Amazing job.

  • Bravo!

  • Nice Job

  • if you fly this in norway between november-april you better mount some ski's on it

  • Amazing airplane and flying. I just wouldn't have the nerve to fly something this beautiful on such a windy day.

  • só achei horrível a pintura!!! muito feia!!! que falta de gosto para um modelo tão hiponente como o king air

  • Strap a GoPro to it and then fly it around

  • this is to sweet , i want this shipped to the caribbean lol

  • for some reason, I think turboprop are cooler than jets

  • @cherokeepilot918

    I tend to agree! =)

  • @cherokeepilot918 For some reason I think your right.

  • that's awesome.

  • That's a beautiful plane!

  • Great build!

  • I think you passengers might be a little sick. Lol Nice build! Very impressive

  • Please disregard previous comment. Actually it looks quite cool, in the air and on the ground. I was wondering if it served as a kind of test platform for real jets of this type or if it was built "just for fun"

  • @livvidd I think that it is just for fun.

  • what is the point of such toys?

  • @livvidd I suppose you could say that about any toy. The point is to have fun.

  • Little bit tail heavy isnt it?

  • what is the model ?

  • if I didnt know any better and you posted a video recorded from literally ground level I would think that was full scale.the flying shots looked like it thats for sure.

  • Feathering Props!!!!! That is frickin' amazing. Super Job.

  • That's one pretty plane... nice landing also!!!

  • can we put a hamster now ???

  • How much flight time do you get from maximum fuel configuration on this nice bird?

  • i dar you to crash it

  • There is no way I could ever hope to have enough money backing to get the balls to fly it. I have a jet that cost me about $6000 to build and I've had it at the field and just can't see getting it airborne and the risk of loss of not just the money, but all my time and hard work which was a ton! I like having it in my hobby room, its a way cool conversation piece and I can enjoy it knowing it won't be in bits one day from flying it and something happening. :)

  • @TheTruthHurtsYup

have some faith in yourself man and go fly that thing. you will appreciate your work more, trust your skill and your build and go fly it.

  • BEAUTIFUL aircraft!!!! SPLENDID job on the build! That blew my mind! :)

  • Stewart Little went Corporate. :)

  • The Beechcraft CEO surely gives you a job...

  • Increible plane!!!! My favorite to fly in Microsoft Fight Sim X.

  • man you got skills...but I think that you put the ariplane at serious risk into that wind. A good pilot also must know whether fly or stay at ground.

However, you landed smoothly and did it beautiful! ;)

  • den er flot :)

  • Truly amazing at so many levels

  • This is one of the most amazing R/C planes I've ever seen. Fantastic job! How long did it take yo build?

  • brinquedinho carooooooooooooo meuuu

    ta doidoo

  • Why there isn't a 420p between 360 and 720? :D

  • did you build the turbo prop off the design of the original PT6 engine for the normal king airs? cause if so I commend you my friend, just the aspect of creating two identical turbo prop engines with perfectly built tiny N1 and N2 turbines as well as the 3 axial compressor turbines to that size is just remarkable, many tips of my hat to you my friend

  • Gorgeous plane how much did this beast cost u

  • The smoke after shutdown is fuel not completely shut off or burning. Similar to full-scale with a FCU problem. Just an amazing model, really remarkable!!

  • The smoke after shutdown is fuel not completely shut off or burning. Similar to full-scale with a FCU problem. Just an amazing model, really remarkable!!

  • Let me guess the de-ice boots work too? lol

    Absolutely incredible model...

  • I am thoroughly impressed

  • great model. time to start filming with on board cameras. bearospace.

  • You should contact Hawker Beechcraft and let them know about your work of art.

They might invite you out to their next airshow or something. Really nice work. Congrats!.

  • That is the most beautiful R.C. I have ever seen bar-none . The detail is just fantastic .

  • This is amazing!

  • awesome

  • Fantastic AC, very impressive. Thanks for NOT adding music to the video. The turboprops are music enough. Good job on the crosswind take off and landing.

  • I guess i've been "out-of-the-game" for a while..TurboProps? With auto-feathering? Crazy... would like to know how much of a reduction the transmissions are running, numerically speaking. And how the tranny's were obtained in the first place...bought?made? Outsourced from some other mechanical device? This vid paired with all the new FPV vids makes me feel like an old man...

  • the first startof this baby must heave produced heavy adrenaline kicks ! :-)

    damn, that´s a nice plane !

  • One of the nicest R/C planes I have seen - awesome job - wish I could see it in Person.

  • nice rc plane

  • Are you from Denmark

  • A stable design with great flying characteristics. Nice aircraft.

  • is it variable pitch constant speed? or fixed pitch?

  • Beautiful plane! Impressive build!

  • there are times when flying is no longer enjoyable and becomes terrifying especially when you begin to fly planes such as these where even near miss could give a cardiac arrest.

  • GET A LIFE

  • how heavy is that plane

  • Awesome plane!

  • WHAT THE !! that plane is awesome! great work!

  • sounded*

  • it sonded pretty wind y nice plane

  • that plane seems to be really light :-)

  • Beautiful piece of work - those turbines just send that send that girl away

  • awesome craftsmanship !!!!!! feathering props???? i cant believe it!!!! what detail! bravo!!!!!!!

  • Wow. That is.. no, just wow.

  • I wish i was you

  • Really beautiful work.

The problem with most of these R/C planes is that they are'nt realistic during flight.

I'm mean, look at the time to take-off, it's way to short.

These models models are often over-motorized.

  • The pitch on props ........ what's up? Can you control the prop pitch on this ACFT?

  • If not for the reactions to the gusty wind it looks hard to tell from the full size in flight, absolutely fantastic!

  • why the smoke on the left engine after cutoff?

  • @ignaciojork you don't know much about anything in life huh?

  • @ignaciojork its residue transmission oil :)

  • OMG! Giant people!! O__o

  • wow, so when is the video of the components comming? explain the systems in it. i need to see those engines ? are they reverse flow's like the pt6 ?

  • That is a beautiful plane.Congrats on a outstanding job....Nice flying....

  • You people are sick. LOL

I would not have taken that plane out with conditions that windy..I would cry and not stop crying if it were to crash.

    OUTSTANDING!

  • This is absolutely amazing. I am a avid RC car racer, but it comes nowhere near this. it is almost impossible to think where one would start with such a project.

AND where is Carl, is he in the video? I want to salute him for what is a skill and talent (and commitment) that is dwindling amongst younger generations all over the world. (Good video also; just stay clear of the props man, nerve wracking, so close, those look expensive and on a windy day like that who knows what can happen :-) )

  • i would totally try to ride on that haha

  • best R/C airplane!! king air are one of my favorite turbo prop airplane on the heart!! i have the privilege to work with them at mesa airport and soon star workin as a a&p mechanic and i want to work just with king airs!!! love you video please post more one of this day i would make airplane by myself just like you guys!! you should make more and sell it haha you make bank!! thats my idea!! plus airplanes is my passion!! thanks guy awesome job, so perfect!!

  • awesome :D

how hard is it flying ??

  • What a masterpiece. Looked like it even had variable pitch props. No way would I be flying that thing on such a crappy day. The builder looked like he was sweating bullets as he handed the radio to the pilot. Incredibly good landing, though.

  • I never thought I'd see a RC model turbo-prop, but a King Air? That's just a perfect combination! Great work!

  • That is just unbelievable... Wow, what a great builder, a real artist... What

a Master Craft Man, that's a talented man, or team... That has to be what,,,

a $ 25,000.00 dollar investment ??? Engines alone are how much? Got

to be close to ten each... I have no idea ??? Was it a little windy the day

of this flight ? What kind of props, they have got to cost, a ton...

At, $ 25,000.00 that might be light, in fact, real light.. Like about half,

Thank You for posting this, outstanding !!!!

  • @BigWheelHawaii

    Hey.

Some on the turbine components are from wren(turbine wheel and compressor), everything else is handcrafted only by Carl.

so you cant really talk price. but a ready to go turbopropengine W/O feather prop is about 8000$

Lets just say that Carls King Air is priceless :)

we hope to make new video of the plane this summer.

  • @BigWheelHawaii As true as this comment is, you can't call it an investment, that's like saying a big screen tv is an investment. But there is a whole lot of craftmenship here.

  • Wow this thing deserves to be in a museum if it's ever retired! Wicked freaking awesome!

  • is that a controlable pitch prop? with auto-feather? that should be remarkeble

  • @calmatosport yep, its autofeather.

  • @kasperholger I want to buy one!!

  • @kasperholger You seriously have auto feather on this thing? From a mechanical engineer *high five

  • Easily among the finest model aircraft ever built... Fantastic!

  • If it wasn't for the two guys standing there I would of believed this to a real King Air. This thing looks so real in every angle.

  • what rc plain do you recommend for beginners plz?

  • @makekfezf Get on to Ebay and look for an electric J-3 Cub.

  • @superjezz thnx man... :p

  • Your King Air RC is excellent, in great detail.

Here in Brazil this aircraft is used in large scale by several air taxi companies. The turboprops are used in two

models: one is the Embraer Bandeirante, the other is the Embraer T-27 Tucano. Congratulations for your RC King Air

  • G and WOW.

  • awesome aircraft. nextime try placing a seat onto it^^

  • Kool lol now my pets can fly private!

  • Now yall need to try and make a Beechcraft 1900 that would be really cool i would buy that!

  • hi guys, its a fabulous aircraft. very impressive, contratulations, that's what we want to see!

  • Retirement. When you do things you never imagine.

  • that thing sounds amazing!!!

  • Actually there is a word for this and it's HERP.

  • look the age of the "pilot"...i think he is VERY EXPERT...he now when its possible to pilot..

  • WOW Beautifull! Greta job!

  • so good!

  • air greenland - we fly your pets first class!

  • waooooooooo amazing

  • Do you have any sort of synchronization between the engines, like governors of something? Or, does turbine power output track throttle position well enough for a twin?

  • That is the best looking RC Plane i've seen ever.

  • It looks to me like two , Newfees , liber rats trying to fly a turbo prob way a head of their time . LOLby the way Newfees means Goof here in Canada . lol

  • Dear santa....

  • @kasperholger Youve done a fantastic job of this aircraft,You ought to feel proud of this one,

I watch the life size B-350's fly overhead most days as the local RAAF base uses them for training, If yours flew over i would mistake it for the real deal

    Well done,

  • This is an amazing aircraft mate!!! And don't listen to these amateurs on here posting bulldust about strong winds LOL. If you can't fly an rc plane in that wind you shouldn't fly at all!!! Remember....WIND IS YOUR FRIEND!!! Well done!!

  • How did the prop feather mechanism work? The first time I saw this video I never thought they took it that far!

  • Can I buy?

  • Great job.Wonderful detail.Strong winds?Probably just a light breeze where you come from.I would suggest the pilot is a much higher level than most.Congratulations.You have raised the bar by meters.

  • Dansk registrering ;D

  • @Hansemax no we are not retarded, and the wind is not cracy, its just strong winds.

  • @kasperholger still you know, as I saw the shiny canopy finish, heard the beautiful engine sound and saw how smoothly you put it down in the crosswind, the first thought that came to mind was: c'mon they're retards, right? Not one bit brighter than that other retard Leonardo da Vinci and schmucks like him.

  • @kasperholger did somebody is thinking that this project is not wort it??? cuss he is!! this is the best video on youtube history!!!

  • @Hansemax It's not a park flyer! Come fly in Southern Alberta, if your scared of 20mp/h you will remain a weekend warrior or just never learn to fly a plane like real pilots do to adjust to weather conditions.

Larger planes handle wind better, he also has plenty of power to handle it as well.

  • @Hansemax You need to remember that MASS is your friend as well as inertia, which is why large scale aircraft are such a joy, regardless of conditions up to a point that is.

The heavier the Aircraft is the easier it is to fly in such conditions BUT you NEED to think well ahead.

  • Can't the turbines be limited or the props geared for less rpm to make up for the excess power to creat more scale flight? Awesome anyway!

  • absolutely fantastic.

  • просто суперски

  • Normally I'm not that much into RC planes but this is just amazing. The craftmanship and enginering on this one is in a class of it's own, getting theese engines to work is like landing on the moon for the first time !.

Take care of the beatyfull aircraft ;-)

    Bo

  • wheely hahaha

  • Do you have vp props on this?

  • OH! this is so sick! aww man.. i would never expected to see this like that in my lifetime.. dayum!! thumbs up

  • that totaly WIKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That is insane awesome!

  • AMAZING !

  • You did an awesome job!!!! This plane is absolutely amazing! :)

  • absolutely awesome, wooow

  • More scale details such as windscreen wipers dual pitot tubes and static ports might be cool. Aft Body Strake and if you could mold some winglets some how would be really awesome...

  • Well done! I am not a model flyer but I do fly a B200 and I think your model is very realistic. it even sounds like a Kingair on startup! Nice!

  • Its a pleasure to see such fine craftmanship!

  • Very nice plane & engine

  • holy cow it even had retractable landing gear.....

  • :O.. neeed.. turbo beaver... or.. twotter... -drools-
