christians always snub others religions and practices.. the so-called 'heathens' have more of a chance at reaching 'heaven' than christians.. they live clean, simple and moral lifestyles unlike the millions of christian hypocrites in today's society. i'd rather be like them.
The Yoga that u get to see the Pranayam is out of this world nothing like it!!!! Then u realise why they have such thick dense hair and beards Amazing!!!
thanks for the reply, but it really does not make much sense, drinking a glass of wine and wearing a piece of cloth does not get one to heaven, neither does wearing ashes and bathing in a river
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
People should respect other peoples religious beliefs and stop trying to turn people away from their religions beliefs because all religions worship the same God. There is no "ONE TRUE WAY". There are many different roads going to the same place.
I don't think so, I have read tons of articles about the Khumba Mela and I know all about it. Just because i present it through a Christian perspective does not mean that I don't know what it means from a Hindu perspective
I don;t think anyone understands spirituality. All religions are a form of spirituality. Hinduism says you are not ultimately the body. Understand and respect various sadhus, acharyas etc.. and you will view this video with a clear mind. Then you may say "I understand".
No, i had Nagababas in the original version of the video, but I can't show a bunch of naked people running around in talks that I give, so I did not put it in this version. Many people I spoke to in India, especially educated young people were embarrased by the antics of the Nagas and they said they put India in a bad light. I certainly understand what the Khumba Mela is about. I think more so than most foreigners who have never even heard of it. Thanks for the comments though.
Cut it short dude. Those are not really educated people who has no idea of what culture is. If it is drinking a glass of wine and wearing some peace of cloath then I am better off with Nagas. They are such a holy people who cares only for god. Else where you commented that they beg. True. But it is mainly for simple living and not for some material comforts. In Hinduism it is OK to do so as long as you carry spirituality. St.Francis did.Simple living hihg thinking

Tourism perspective is very limited. Why Westerns love to explain things based on their culture?
I think you missed the whole meaning of the Kumbha Mela.

jeez, stage shows ,entertainers. flashimg lights. chai wallas...
you've captured it with your camera.
Was there for the 1971 Khumba Mela...
was at the trikuti with Gurus and sadhus....
No Physicality...
no separation. no you and me just energy that was moving....
Energy before thought....
On the outskirts of millions of people...There are many thoughts,
There is separation, there is me, and there is you with a camera....
Thanks for the Pictures that put me right back there...

No Nagababas, and not about Hinduism. I think you missed the whole meaning of the Kumbha Mela. That is a shame.I'm a Hindu, by the way.
