I don't understand why USA, probably the richest country in the world can't provide health insurance like in Germany or other Europian Countries. Everbody gets medical treatment.
Were having the same problem here in FL.I had medicare and after i turned 21 they took everything away.So me and my mom are trying everything but were struggling with my stuff.I've been getting donation from people from EB friends but i don't wanna be askin for them cause i know they have children with EB as well...Me and my mom don't know what were gonna do.
I have worked in a Medicaid office before I GUARANTEE you if you go to your local Federal Senator's office and let them know what as happened and the length of time it has taken, they will start a congressional inquiry into your case. This will go the the executive director of the agency and work its way down to the local office. Congressional iquiries get TOP priority. Call at 8 am tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!! You are the client and you DESERVE better service then you are receiving.
I understand how they act at the Medicaid Office, since I myself has have been there fighting many many times. You -HAVE- to be aggressive about it. Don't rely on phone calls, you'll almost never get a reply. I know it sucks but you just are going to have to go there in person and hound the crap out of them. And I would make a point of asking if they've been having trouble with their computers for the last 6 months. If they say no, point out what your caseworker said.
It sounds a lot like this guy has been letting your calls go and go because he didn't feel like doing his job. I'd highly suggest going into the office in person and demanding to see a case worker. If you go in in the mornings you should be able to be seen that day. I would also strongly suggest requesting that your case be transferred to someone else. A nicely written letter along with some pictures to the governor just might help push the envelope as well. Bring attention to this. It's wrong.
