the prop replica is much cooler. and Russell T. Davies liked the toy mold so much he decided to use it for the prop itself because the original kept breaking, so the replica is the actual prop size.

to clarify: there are two sonic screwdriver toys of the tenth doctor. the led torch and the UV one.

the UV one is the cooler one, with sound, that can extend, has a pen, and writes in invisible ink, and comes with the psychic paper.

this is the plain one. just a flashlight that looks like the sonic screwdriver design. ahaha. :3

@smileROXAS There's another as well, it's like the UV one but without the UV. It's the same size but it has a normal blue light as well as the sounds and extending.

@smileROXAS It was only released in one of the toy packs, the Doctor Who Sonic screwdriver and sonic pen set (based on the partners in crime episode.) It's pretty rare now but you may find one online if you're lucky.

it's main appeal is that it's the right size for the ninth doctor's sonic, whereas the character options one is larger, and the tenth doctor one was scaled up to match. with a crackley tan paint job, this could go next to the other one as the ninth and tenth doctor screwdrivers.

This one isn't bad, I bought mine just because I wanted a novelty torch and its quite bright. It can completely light up my bedroom at night in complete pitch blackness. Its worth a buy if u want a novelty torch, if u want a working prop the lights and sound pen version would be better, but this is really good!
