I don't see why all this fighting is necessary, to me, they're all equal. Drums give that nice beat and crazy fill ins but it needs the correct timing or its ruined, guitar's good too but needs to be strummed right and have the solo perfect, bass is what the def of backround is, its funky, without it a song has no life. I'm a drum player but I still think they're equal.

@zoidsvstherichies if you ever get a bass or guitar, it's actually easiest to teach yourself the basics like chords and simple rythmns first. But if you want you can use youtube or a private tutor. I started playing the guitar about 4 years ago. im all self taught so im still learning alot, but over this summer i got a bass and i gotta say i love the bass guitar way more than the electric.

@666bonscott You don't have to learn every single note, people would be impressed enough if you got your timing right and didn't make any major mistakes or too many mistakes, just playing the root bassline would be good enough, fancy shit is not always needed, for example you needn't do the fiddly bit at the start of this vid just the basic notes in the intro lol
Play that combination twice (hammering on should make it sound similar to a slide). Do that whenever the Intro part is played cos its played a few times in the song, thats if you can't manage or you're not confident with "the fiddly bit". Just watch the vid for the rest lol. P.S In the intro, after the second time play the E4 just once

@ArtikGuitarGod He's hitting all the notes, also I don't kno if you've ever played a bass but the frets are a lot further from each other than on guitar, your fingers have to run all over the place. And again it may look sloppy to you, but when has he missed a note?
good fuckin cover dude....one tip coming from a fellow bass player(who also uses a pick), try alternating your picking up and down instead of just playing down...it'll sound less choppy, a lot smoother, and you'll be able to play more fluidly and quicker

@nirvana7777 Not all the time, but yeh he did most of the time when playing live. Finger picking does sound better in my opinion but I use a pick for punk stuff because a lot of it is way to fast for finger picking at my level, but I finger pick when I can :).

then play E1 11 hammer on E3 then E4 44 4.

but when doing more melodic stuff or walking bass lines its easier and better to use ur fingers

@nirvana7777 I bet you Krist doesn't use all down-strums. learn to play correctly and you will go far. Good cover, my only gripe is your technique. BTW from one bass player to another it looks like you are putting A LOT of work on your fretting hand. you should learn to play so your hand doesn't look like its disfigured half of the time.

@nirvana7777 Not all the time, but yeh he did most of the time when playing live. Finger picking does sound better in my opinion but I use a pick for punk stuff because a lot of it is way to fast for finger picking at my level, but I finger pick when I can :).

i use my two fingers as a pick it's some where n between the sound of a pick and fingers i played guiar well not really played guitar just here and there for years and i cant do the fingers it just sounds like crap
