  • Thinkpads are amazing laptops and of course there are a few duds like any other machine. You should speak with Lenovo and escalate this issue to get a new machine or refund and purchase another one.

  • I realize this video is older, but I had a similar issue with my X220T. It would just power cycle and shut off after a few seconds, EXACTLY like yours would. Turned out all I had to do was reset the BIOS. It has happened twice to me so far, but once was after I was messing with an express card. It was a pain to figure out the first time, but the second time it happened it only took 5 min to fix.

  • Better luck next time.

  • I have tried with or without battery and with or without power cable, still the same.

I have placed it twice into Lenovo service, and after 55 days of repairing (I was without notebook) they give me it back, still the same.

  • Looks like a loose connection between battery and laptop.

Try plugging in just your power adapter without the battery. If it works without problem, then your problem is the battery or its connection to the laptop.

If it doesnt work, then its the power system inside the computer that is a problem. Then you should call Lenovo for help /warranty issue.
