All regions have what are basically sanctuarys for these protected species. Mostly inmates at risk are left to their own devices, but placed in softer med.sec. joints where possible. Check-ins are usually just shunted around. Their stories all sound the same. None of this shit is romantic or glorious in ANY way. Prisons are for losers.

@PAULOcbi In New Brunswick we have Dorchestor Pen which is considered a PC Jail, i started my bit in Springhill NOva Scotia, transfered to Westmorland Farm in NB, got released from Westmorland then returned and was sent to Dorchestor, since im from NB they kept me in a NB Prison. All jails i've been to have tons of hounds, they just try to keep it a little more secret then they do in a place like Dorchestor, and if you mess with any hound or checki-in you are sent straight to Renous, our Max.

Its the same evrywhere ,I made it to camp ,Frontenac, I lasted 90 days b4 going back to Collins Bay, hounds and PC cases evrywhere making you sick to your stomach evryday. A lotta guys from out there have checked in at Springhill,Dorchester and Renous so they send them out here to Joyceville and Kingston Pen and I bet sum a the guys I met from Renous were prolly check-ins too

Two for murder, 1 attempted murder, a couple of armed robberies, assaults, grand theft, things like that and mostly in the 50s thru the 70s. Atleast in SpringHill if you check in, you sure as hell don't check out.. But i got to say DP was a great place to do time, it's so laid back. As far as the 'shit' all around you, whatever you just don't crack to them. What bothered me the most was people i knew in Springhill who were all hard, then go to DP and crack to pedophiles, strange..
ok--so 56 and with a few hours of overtime most of the guards I know clear 75 every year. There is a reason that so many guys do that job that grow up here, and it isn't for the friends you gain.
Guards get around 74000 per year. Plenty of overtime too. I have thought about it for a long time but being a screw is hard when you have grown up with guys who go in and out of those places.
@ciy85 I should add it's mostly because they think I LOOK intimidating... I had no weapons and no prior arrests. I worked for the federal government for 6 years and am thought of by my peers as being incredibly kind and generous. Almost to a fault (it's arguably what got me into this situation).

@ciy85 Everyone sentenced to federal time in Ontario goes to Millhaven(Millhaven assesment unit) for 3 to 6mos you are then sent to your"mother institution" wich in your case if you have no violence on your record and no institution misconducts(offences) you will likely end up in a minimum security. You won't be going to KP. Keep in mind you are being assesed (watched) constantly while at MAU...your behavior/actions will have a big impact on what your mother institution will be.
@ciy85 I should clarify something...not everyone in KP is a sexual deviate. There are different ranges there. Anyone in Ontario who has their parole revoked goes to KP on the TD range, they go through classification and are then sent back to thier old mother institution or will be sent to a higher level security prison. There are also guys there classified "dangerous offenders"...violent dudes but not sexual deviats. They are on a separate range than parole revoke guys and the sexual deviats.
Also, tariqkhank, there is actually a slim opportunity that arises occasionlly, when as a visitor, you can actually snap a couple pics inside a particular part of the prison.
Slow down pal, one at a time...Kingston is beautiful little city of about 100,000, mostly students. Paul never goes outside or interacts with other prisoners. he eats alone and gets to leave his cell 30 mins a day for exercise (guarded indoors). No Karla was never at Kingston. No female section, all male population. She had a private cell with t.v. at an all womens prison and is now out.
