Outstanding! Way to handle the GT3 in the wet on the Nordschleife!!!! some people who have never driven this track in the dampf don't know how slippery it really is.
I think anyone who has done the 'Ring (including me) would agree that any road car is crap on a circuit, even supposed Supercars (having driven track cars they do make all the difference, even cheap hatchbacks with proper suspension and brakes can out perform cars that, on paper are much better), far too soft, under-braked and no-grip road tyres. If it's damp don't even waste your Euros. All you can do is have a bit of fun, anything you break will cost you a fortune to put right.
@autounionv16 he is moving his hands on the steering wheel so he can drive the car properly you knob. someone like this or anyone that can drive at all, knows where the wheels are pointing at all times. i dont even understand how you could come up with that. have you ever driven a real car???
@manmanisgod no I haven't driven a real car, only got as far as Formula 3 and wasn't particularly good at that, well i wasn't too bad, just didn't have bottomless pockets. Why do people get so rude and cross on these comment bits? I was only pointing out the obvious.
@autounionv16 but its not an obvious thing! hence why i commented, because what you said was wrong. some racibng genres might keep hands on the wheels at all times because lock to lock is so small. in road driven cars it takes a few turns to get lock to lock so unless you have elastic arms that can wrap around themselves, you need to take your hands off the wheel.
@manmanisgod Oh I see, not everyone has elastic arms... only us racing drivers. Seriously though, watching it again the fellow only once or twice has the wheel more than half a turn either way so didn't need to shuffle the wheel like he was the rest of the time. The 'Ring isn't THAT tight, not like turning into side road where you may need extra turns. And point of order, passing on the right is VERBOTEN at around 5.30 and up to the Karussel.
@autounionv16 i didnt say you have elastic arms or that anyone does. you are missing the point completely and then just adding uneeded things to the argument.
@autounionv16 Almost all of the arm swaps were done just before countersteering, which he probably expected to be needed, or more likely did that slides on purpose. If he gripped wheel with both hands in 15,45 position and then, when countersteering, run out of reach, it would be difficult to swap hands fast enough. This isn´t a formula car with 1 or less turns lock to lock and with setup and wheel turn angle so small, that if you slides little bit more, you will spin anyway.
Skilled driver, and huge balls. You´ve won all my respect. Congrats for that amazing driving

Why are you moving your hands on the steering wheel? You lose all idea of which way the wheels are pointing...
