As a HUGE Vikes fan, I wasnt too thrilled at first to have him on our team but now he has led us to 6 and OH YEAH BABY!!!!! GO FAVRE!!!!!! GO PETERSON!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great Vid! Brett Favre is a legend & i was so frustrated that he was let go from thee Packers after having an impressive season thee year before. Even on thee Jets he had a winning season! Letting legends go after giving their heart for thee "luv of thee game" & proving that life can still be brought to thee game when others think they're washed up is just wrong. I don't know thee details, but i do know us fans were really hurt... #4, i salute u!
i hope thomson takes his head out of his ass and farve comes one more and starts let him start fuck Aaron Rogers. With out Brett the packers wont be the same he was the reason why i watched the game so if he plays for someone else thats who i will root for so all of us true fans lets hope he starts for the pack and if he doesnt play it just wont be the same. because if he comes back for one more year he is taking the pack the hole way. ONE MORE YEAR!
I wish that he would of stayed for just one more year. We were so damn close last year and without him id be surprised if we won 8 games next year.... Sucks having a green quarterback.
hey, i'm not insulting you but thats the only way to get all time records. you have play as long as the guys, in this case dan marino, who set them, to surpass them.
Your not better than the guy you beat unless you beat his record with less time. If an avg. qauterback played 24 years with no injury, he'll get alot of records. It's not that he was the best ever.
if you an average quarterback you wont set any records. you wont get three consecutive MVPs like brett did and you wont have more wins than anybody else. and you definetly wont play 24 years, becuase if you just average your team will find a better quarterback.
in 17 years farve has won 160 games. If an avg talented player plays 20 years and wins 8 games a year, he would tie farve. You got a point with the finding better quarter back. Just saying 8 wins isnt the best, but when you win so much. You can beat anyones record.
yea but to beat those records you cant just be an average quarterback, you have to be good and durable. also, if a quarterback won 8 games every year he wouldnt be there more than 3 because to stay a starting quarterback in the nfl you need to win playoff games and championships. he has played in like 22 playoff games including two superbowls. and dont forget about the 9 pro bowl trips either. if your average you dont make it to the probowl
I cant win the argument that farve is a bad quaterback, he isnt. One of the best, but not THE BEST. He's good, but played so long. he avg. 9.4 wins per season. What Im getting at is, if your a good qaurterback that plays 15+ years your bound to get records, even if the guy you beat played 3 to 4 years less.
face it......it's just not luck that he made it 17 years without serious injury. He has played with a sprained ankle and a broken thumb and to do that you have to be pretty freaking tough! Maybe you can attribute his long career to some of his records, but that's just a little piece to the puzzle, to the legend that is Brett Farve.
yeah, but you also have to think, Is he a team player. for the couple of years he was bad, would it have been better for a new guy to come in, or would it be better for the team to sit one game out when injured. He was a great quarterback and deserves to be in hall of fame. Just saying he played a long time and shouldnt be considered best ever.
I see where your coming from but it wasn't just his records alone that made him great. It was his love/enthusiasm for the game, his uncanny ability to gain positive yards on a broken play and what he meant to Packer fans that also made his great.
As a kid we all had athletes that we idolized and loved. Brett Farve was this to young and old alike. He wasn't just another QB to us Packer fans, he was our hero.
Furthermore, one can't logically hold the longevity of him.
alright, I'll give you what ever you wanted and take back what I said. I got idols and hero's too. Would defend them the same as you did farve. Wish him a good retirement.
Favre is a MAN!! Idc what anyone else saids about him...All True Packer Fans MUST agree...hes the biggest man ever to play QB....over Marino...Young....Montana...Griese...Brady... Manning...you name a QB hes better!
whats the song? btw good vid! go packers :3

but the really amazing thing isnt neccesarily that he played so long but that he hasnt missed a game. no one can say that they've dont that.

Yeah I'll give him that. It's pretty amazing he could do that. Still doing it, I bet he'll be back next year.

I would like to point out one thing, NDoobie19. In your heated defense of Favre, you managed to spell his name wrong twice. F-A-V-R-E. Thanks.
