  • go budy good job . nice work .

  • thumbs up if you hear the plane at 1:15

  • how did you cut the wood

  • Great video! I have always wanted to make one myself. Would you consider selling one? If so how much? So cool and looks like it would make someone think twice before trying to attack me and my family. Crossbows are great because they are so much quieter than guns.

  • @jasminegalvin XD im alot more scared then a gun. if had a gun and was facing someone with a crossbow, i wouldnt be scared for the slightest.

  • I WANT UR WALL!

  • do you have plans for this crossbow? pls answer

  • you look kinda like Larry the Cable Guy

  • Pretty cool indeed. But is there a way to make it smaller?

  • i would stay away from his house

  • ur ready for a zombie apocalypse

  • hello is very nice that you managed to do ... I watched all the videos with crossbow ... I want to ask you which is the length (size) of the crossbow? ... Thanx!

  • cheers mate, thinking of making a speargun for hunting bass. Given me some inspiration! Thanks, Henry

  • Dis vid scared me

  • and also how big should the circle thing on the trigger mech be i used a 50 cent quarter to draw around to make the circle

  • @jrdominguez619 , its should be about 50mm from top to bottom, if its small it still may work.

    Mike.

  • why not try to like make a clip on the top like a chinese crossbow

  • Hey i was going to make your pistol crossbow bow when i saw this video, i was wondering if you could link or maybe let me know the dimensions of the main stock and barrel piece because i have limited materials and i want to do it all right thanks in advanced, Ryan

  • Check out my new crossbow mike and see what you think of the idea of spring steel and a stronger stock and gib insert? would be great to hear some feedback cheers, jarno.

  • nice accent and cool crossbow u really live up 2 ur account name

  • the video is in the video response area

  • nice trigger

  • how thick is the flooring that goes between the two peices of ply?

  • @rrruuugggbbbyyy , its about 7mm or 8mm, just make sure it is tinner than the bolts / Arrows you will be useing.

  • @WeaponCollector Sorry i meant thinner - not tinner, lol.

  • @WeaponCollector no worries. thanks alot. i just used a 2 play board instead works fine so far. my crossbow is slightly smaller than yours though stil when it's finished it will be great. brilliant tutorials and thanks alot for posting them cheers,

    Jarno

  • hey mike. I have finished my crossbow from your version. works very well. with a few adjustments. i used a wooden trigger, and a very different prod. please tell me what you think; cheers, jarno. P.S. my new account is XBowLover

  • You have an armory! Get a damn gun safe!!! O_o

  • I like your video

  • Wonderful tutorials.

You should get the VIP status or sth on YouTube.

  • @AndyMaster007 , Thanks Andy.

  • DAMN, IT IS SO EASY, I ALREADY CREATED ONE FOR MY KID, SHIT, THANKS MAN, NICE VIDEOS, YOU CREATE COOL THING!!!!

  • how do you cut the aluminium

  • @dazne33 you can cut aluminium with a hacksaw or wood cutting handsaw.

  • what type of metal is that mate?

  • @smackthatBoi , the metal is Aluminium

  • is weapon collector have account in facebook??

  • 4:36 now the trigger, according to the law of gravity, should not fall down? the trigger mechanism is composed of only two pieces?

  • @santeusebio46 When you're pulling back the string for the crossbow, you'll most likely be pointing the whole crossbow down towards the ground, thus changing where gravity pulls on the trigger mechanism. This allows the string hook and trigger to not fall out of place before hooking the string.

  • you are a legend mate..ive been looken for a vid like this for ages...thanx mate...be sure to watch the rest..

and to everyone else this is a great set of vids so watch em

  • Dude your amazing Bro!!!

  • @videokid001 , Thanks mate.

  • @mykmykmykkk the entire length of the stock is 31inchs or 79cm.

  • have you ever thought of putting a spring bayonet on a crossbow?

  • did you ever think about making the full crossbow out of aluminium, minus the crossbar?

  • @painsey , actually that one hell of a cool idea, and would work great too, i wiill keep that in mind for a future project.

    Thanks Painsey.

    Mike.

  • @WeaponCollector your welcome, peace beer guns and strippers

  • I think il make some steel knuckle dusters and possibly one of these crossbows eventually. Seeing as i have complete access to a plasma cutting machine and lots and lots of steel. (Work as a design engineer in this local quary mining equipment company) Only problem i will have is that i can make the programs to get it cut but wont have an excuse to what im cutting as it would be obvious its knuckle duster so i might get into shit :|

  • is the second vid up yet?

  • Se ve que estaraa fregona como toodo lo qe haces Camarada !!

  • @bfgguns , thanks mate, i appreciate that,

    Mike

  • looking forward to the rest of the videos.

i hope it never happens, but could you imagine what a burglar would think if he broke in your house and saw your collection on the wall? i would be out that door in a flash and keep on running!

not that i am a burglar at all.

  • nice maybe you could use carbon fibre for the bow parts or wood.

  • @joshportr ,good idea, i may make a few prods - (bows), one from wood, one spring steel one and maybe even a carbon fibre one

  • Aluminium will wear very quick under that pressure! I would use steel for the trigger mechanism. Heat hardened after you have shaped it.! Safety-wise its a better choice! You don`t need this firing off when your not ready because the edges of the softer parts has worn! Just an observation from a fellow home engineer! Hope you don`t mind, Mike! Can`t wait tosee the finished item!

  • @moleman1961 , its cool Moleman, infact i appreciate it, its o.k though, i did think of this, if need be I will add a small steel plate to the bits that touch, also i'm not going to have it too strong (draw weight) for the reasons you stated,

Thanks for the input , if you have any other ideas do say, its always good to hears others ideas.

    glad your enjoying it.

    Mike.

  • @WeaponCollector cool! the plate idea will work!

  • Nice, I never would have thought to make my own crossbow. I might now!

  • Nice work Mike, looking forward to the next part :-)

  • The block that holds the string is called the nut.

  • @knifeguyfromdenmark , thanks mate, more to come soon.

Anyway keep up the good work mate.

    Cheers, Adam.

  • @Foster3108 , Hi Adam, most of my creative skills come from being obsessed with weapons and making them from a early age, i'm virtually 100% self taught , although i have read some books about woodwork and enjoy watch TV programmes about wood working and metal working too.
