@KarstonLikesMustangs Its like marmite man, you either love it or hate it, iv grown up in the UK so mainly tuners and only a few muscle cars, im guessing your from the US, its the oposite with you guys, mainly muscle cars. Allthough i love v8 cars i just prefer the v6 in the mustang, i mean common, a live axle, what the hell were ford thinking and shelby thinking, gt "500" it has 450 still a live axle, if i was to pick a modern v8 stang id pick the roush stang...has modern suspention.

It's just people like manuals because it gives them control of the engine also you can't red line most Autos you have to change the settings for the gear switch and then if you want o just drive it in the street and you don't want to red line then you have to go back and change it again. But automatic is good also if your into that and if not just go Tiptronic. I myself perfer manual but it depends on what you like theres no good or bad. the new GTR is auto but has the best clutch/shift timing

I just want to state that the 05' GT comes with 2.5 inch pipes, and if you did infact completely change the exaust as a whole. You have no automotive knowledge. And yes I drive an 08.

I got American Thunders on my GT... I am going side pipes with full exhaust but a little warning... A/T sound like shit with Headers or X pipe... Raspy a fuck... They are really only ment for axel back application with stock H pipe and headers....

Good shit though I was thinking about tinting my tails also...

Got a question, I have the same exact taillight covers for my 06 mustang, do you have a prob keeping your covers snug against your taillights or have u remedied the prob and if so how?

well I use 3M tape to make them stick. Haven't really had a problem... When i wash my car I push them in and make sure they are snug but other than that no problems...

Don't use the velcro... it doesn't work that well.

I had a 300hp v6 stang before I bought an 05 GT. The 6 was great when things werent going wrong with it.  It probably was faster than the GT, but the only thing I miss is the blower whine. The GT sounds nicer exhaust wise and is a more drivable car. The small difference in gas mileage is something v6 owners have touted for years. An SRT4 gets much at least that much better mileage for more power potential. A well modded v6 is better at speed, nothing else than a stock GT.

It had Lontubes, deleted cats, mac mufflers, a procharger @11 psi, 42# injectors, a 310mph pump, 4.10 gears, a positrac differential, and a stronger valvebody. It was probably alot lighter than the GT, which is why I said faster, but I still like the GT more because of the things previously said.

u had 4.10 gears with a procharger? thats a first. usually people use 3.73 with power adders. first gear must of sucked for you. plus only 300? you should been a little higher than that at least...

Understand something...a V6 has potential when you buy it...the gt...comes stock with 300hp,a 5-5.5 0-60 time(depending on who you talk to...I'm still breaking mine in),and it stops the watch at 13.5 through the quarter...respect the aftermarket of the V6,but the GT's one BAD machine stock........oh and by the way mines reading 22mpg not bad for a V8

wow not a single one of you guys has a clue what you are talking about. The 4.0 v6 has forged rods > the gt's powder rods, when modded the v6 can handle nearly as much as the gt. The 6 gets ALOT better mileage than the gt does too btw. Ok so you are getting 21mpg on your gt? I get about 26 on my v6... and for the "traditionalists" the first mustangs were v6's dumb ass.

I have the v6. I was on the "V8" only mindset when I happened to stumble across the 6 and test drove it and almost poopied myself. I totally underestimated it, and it still surprises me to this day. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have the 8, but I'm happy for now!

the v6 only gets one mile per gallon more than the V8 or something close to that...and actually a LOT of people drive v8's that aren't pick up trucks...a lot of luxury cars also come in V8 models...but to a lot of people if you are driving American Muscle it should be a V8...i don't see where the muscle is in a V6...V8's sound better in my opinion

Wow. It is one mile a gallon more on the v6 SURE.. but you do know a v8 not just takes more it CONSUMES the gas ALOT faster too right? Like 10x faster. It literally EATS it. So enjoy buying gas every 2nd or third day if you like to drive alot and sit in traffic. and as the ford salesman told me when I was looking at the GT's "the v8's would not be being made if it wasnt for the constant v6 sales" this is when I asked whats worth buying more. :S

Are you like, stupid or something? Mustangs are a tradition car. Some people want that classic V-8 Mustang with the power and sound - others don't. I have a 2007 Mustang GT and the computer shows I am getting 21.9miles/gallon. That is a combination of city and highway driving. I see V-6's being advertised for low 20'smiles/gallon. There is no wrong Mustang to buy. Some just want a Mustang and don't care about the engine, others are Mustang tradionalists and want the V-8.

Yeah I have an '05 Mustang GT and it gets better gas mileage than my '97 Dodge Dakota V6 ever did...I drove from Charleston, SC to Atlanta, GA an over 300 mile trip on one tank and still had 67 miles till empty, so I think it gets great gas mileage and it is definitely a helluva alot better than the V6 stang...who wants a V6 Mustang? I mean it's American muscle, get a V8...

I do believe American MUSCLE is considered driving a nice stock or modded V8.

I also believe the Mustang in general, V6 or V8, is an original Muscle Car.
