In April I had to choose between Italian and French. I wanted Italian, but in the end I went for French, and can you guess why? Yes, you are right, because they are awesome and charming songs in french, like for example the ones by Francoise. Really, no regrets, everytime I listen to Hardy's songs and I understand a little bit more or I can sing and learn another song i feel really happy! Oh, Francoise, your songs make my life complete!
@HeleneLens Wow, Marie is so amazing, thanks so much for telling me to listen to her. She has such a great voice, i am definitely looking for more Laforet songs, thanks!
Don't ask me to come over. (Not "sleep with you" directly)
'...I agree with everything you want to do, but don't count on me to come over to your place. You don;t seem happy, I think that means that you don't love me like you're pretending to....'
'...One or two months doesn't go by w/o you asking me to come over.' (I think we've all got the idea here.)
I think the lyrics go something like : "I'll do whatever you want me to, but don't ask me to sleep with you..." or something like that. "Ne me demandez pas d' couche avec toi" :D
@RideMyBMW hahaha no dude, it's "ne me demande pas d'aller chez toi", which pretty much means don't ask me to go to your place. I guess the sense is the same.
The pre blues roots of RnR came from Europe, in particular France who to a great extent financed the american revolution. I know that France did not spark a RnR craze in the 1950's but if RnR is a coming together of styles the origins have to include France who were the world super power at that time. RnR is a simplified form of baroque music with blues, country, RnB and Jazz If these styles are recognised as influences any reasonable person would agree to this pre blues roots principle.
i'm sorry to hear you don't have a lot of free time. anyways, maybe this will teach you a lesson not to insult the french people. we french women in particular are very proud and a loudmouth like you should be more equipped before declaring your love for us on the internet.
cajun music, that's french, broadly speaking and probably as old as america, with far distant tradition at the roots and influences of early rock n roll. you thought that rock n roll started with grease the movie right mouse hole?
Ehhh merde =) Tellement charmante, tellement belle !!!!! Francoise reste une STAR !!!!!
We listened to this song today in French class and the gist of this song is basically she's saying that she will go places with him,but she won't let him take her to his home.
I`m german and learned french. So how about learning it? French isn`t that difficult to learn. An example: englisch (i am sick), french (je suis malade), german (ich bin krank). Good luck (bonne chance mon ami).
