Lol engine didnt blow up. Looks Like the Head gasket went, which happens in forced induction motors (And explains the white smoke coming out from the top of the block) The compression went into the coolant rails and the pressure pop'd the plastic cap off the overflow bottle. Luckily the car must have been cold when put on the dino and the coolant wasn't piping hot yet.

Standard from the showroom holdens are quicker and use less fuel than the fords. check the write ups by industry journalists. as for how much power one can extract from them it comes down to the money one is prepared to spend.
