It took me a while but I finally realized one of the main themes of this movie and that is this: Always keep your personal and professional lives separate from eachother. Miranda wasn't a total bitch, she cared about anne hathaway, thats why she gave her the recommendation. She never showed how proud she was of Anne to her face, because if she did, Anne wouldn't have ever stopped trying her best as an assistant. When she doesn't wave back shows her professional side, but gives a smirk in the car

I guess I'm a "devil" myself because I found myself agreeing with Miranda's advice on getting ahead. You can't get ahead without being a little bitchy, especially as a woman in a man's working world. But I think that people like Andy are important too; to balance out the evil of us devils out there.

Meryl Streep's last shows her amazing acting talent-just look at the expression on her face after her very last line ("Go..."). She is the most amazing actress, especially given the variety of roles she has taken in her career, and the varied performances...wow!

well.. all i can say is that i read the book nd the movie is almost totally different. the end[in the book]is about Lily having an accident[becos she was drikning alot]nd she was in a coma, nd when Andrea heard that she came back from Paris. nd in the movie there's nottin about the man that used to put her to sing before she could go up or about her little flat nd the twins which she was living with. the fight between Andrea nd her boyfriend it was in her flat, not in the street.many differences
