  • So what does the end scene mean when the two men come walking out of the car?

  • @tinpax1 This is due to european cut. Guys in 6:50 are assasins. There was a bounty on "Roy Schneider" head.

  • Great movie. Had the terrible misfortune of being released a week before "Star Wars."

  • @BossaNogi It came out a month AFTER Star Wars, but yes that was bad luck.

  • I love 'Annie Hall' but this was the best film of 1977.

  • Great movie even better than the cheezy orginal Wages of Fear also the ending in this version is just brilliant instead of the cheezy ending in the orginal where Mario drives off a cliff and dies - cheap irony - but Friekin's version of fate is devious and freighteningly true to life. Can't wait for the Bluray.

  • original film - The Wages of Fear, is so much better... and it has a completely different more realistic message than this typical hollywood movie...

  • @tabletka666

This is anything but a 'typical hollywood movie'.

  • Men may be men, but not like how they were represented in this classic all-time movie. Those who are young today, maybe, they can learn something, maybe not.

  • This is a good movie. It has it's flaws, but also has moments of total coolness and intensity: the trucks are like living animals, and the men are like machines.. It didn't do so well when it came out - the story is a bit disjointed and at times akward - but there is menace here, and authentic grittiness today's films can't quite pull off.

  • Excelente pelicula, gracias por subirla, ya que la he buscado en dvd pero aun no la encuentro, la que si encontré fue la versión original de 1953, las dos son muy buenas, aunque me gusta mas ésta versión, Muchas gracias

  • Very good, but I missed the sensuality of Clouzot's wife, and also the humour of the original which makes the story even bleaker by contrast (Shakespeare always had comic relief in his tragedies). There is little or no character development this time, and the antecedents of the characters are either left very vague or in the case of Scheider, shown in flashbacks, which interrupt the narrative, whereas in the Montand/van Eyck version the behaviour and the dialogue tell us all we need to know.

  • hell of a good movie. Thanks for posting.

  • I love how he made it through that valley of death area. I loved how he made his decision to be a driver and got somebody killed before, but possibly saved lives (at least jobs and livelihoods) by being a driver now and redeemed himself. I love how he walked the stuff right in, how a single misstep would mean death, but it wouldn't have mattered because he knew he gave his all. Original ending = life sucks and God is unfair. Remake ending = the world of men is shit. I prefer remake.

  • Coolest ending ever. Thanks for posting!

  • Both Sorcerer and the original Wages of Fear were very good adaptations. I lIke both equally but Sorcerer is a little bit darker than the original which i like

  • remarkable_thankU

  • At the end of this movie, NOBODY MADE IT! not even Scheider! What a piece of ART!

  • is there any intro or prequel for this movie?

i never wached this before and i think there are parts that were missing in the beginning of the movie

  • yes there is an intro to this film. it starts out with the 4 different characters with their backgrounds in 4 different parts of the world.

  • @stoneicy - i posted the youtube video IDs of 2 of the 4 prologue sequences in the comments section of part 1 . . .

  • @systemtree thanks man

  • buena pelicula men ya tenia mucho tiempo buscandola

  • Thanks very much for this. I have been waiting a long time to see this film. It is much appreciated.
