  • There's something I don't get. I've seen that in all lyrics I've surfed in Internet that there's 16 lines I've never reached to even notice in the actual song.

Did the version of the song with that part of the lyrics just disappear? Or is it just that I cannot translate words to music yet and what sounds between 4:42 and 6:02 is supposed to be lyrics but my human, unevolved mind can only conceive it as music?

  • "don't you worry about it, nothing really matters anyway"...a line from the Technoprimates circa 1980...in other words...don't compare cross-time bands....just like you cannot compare cross-time athletes, thinkers, painters......etc..

  • Nostalgia means;

    1. a yearning for the return of past circumstances, events, etc.

    2. the evocation of this emotion, as in a book, film, etc.

    3. longing for home or family; homesickness

The lyrics of the song, I think, has reference for Alice in the Wonderland.

  • oh so lovely

  • "Nostalgia" is a italian word. It is a psychological state of regret for the remember of a event placed in the past that you would like to revive. Sorry for my english...

  • @ilteatrodelsogno1986 Your English is great! Nostalgia is a gorgeous Italian word, and nostalgia makes up the backbone for much of Steven Wilson's work.

  • @zeppelin8 It ain't italian, it is greek:

    νόστος + algia ;)

  • @Atlein You're right, it is of Greek origin :) (νόστος, "returning home", a Homeric word, and ἄλγος, "pain" or "ache"). It's also a word in the Italian dictionary though.

  • Nostalgia is a italian word! =)

  • Nostalgia ? I think that greek word cant be translated in english :P

  • i love this whole album. it's a bloodt masterpiece.

  • Oh yes, Nostalgia Factory... reference to Alice In Wonderland?

  • Yes... The influence of Pink Floyd! It's brilliant i think.

  • Isn't this a divine creation! Steven Wilson should live forever!

  • huge intro.huge middle...fat ending/...

  • I can't believe no one's commented on this yet! Excellent original Porcupine Tree.

  • @roseking900 This takes us beyond imagination..
