This is a video made by Ford on their proving grounds, of course they're gonna make their product look better, it'd be the same thing if GM or Dodge did this video. People buy what they prefer. When I was in the market for a new truck (Feb.09), I looked and test drove all three bands, can't take nothing away from all three, but in the end... I preferred the Dodge, and thats why I have a 09 Ram crew cab 4x4 with HEMI sitting in my driveway!

Don't get me wrong, i like the dodge too. But my Mom has driven a couple of Dodges, and they have tended to have reliability problems. Fords are always solid, and that's one of many things that I love about Ford.
my neighbor has a 99 ram 1500 4x4 with a 5.9 v8, it has over 400,000 miles (no its not a diesel) on it and mechanical its great, cant say the same about anything else, the grill and exhaust system feel off, the interior is crap, but it is a beast

Chevy I shit once in awhile, when I wrote that I just got done replacing a ball joint so I was salty, but my Fords I am still salty about, gone through a shit load of trannys, Fords are the most unreliable truck out there. I do stick to GM and Dodge because they last for ever.
I own all three brands of trucks, I prefer Dodge because over the years my Dodge trucks have cost me the least in repairs. Dodge truck just last for ever.

the ram fails almost as bad as the tundra, but its still much better than it, but its no work horse like the ford is, and nothing ever will beat a good old ford (80's-96 Fords)
I must say, both trucks appeared identical on this run. Certainly both of these trucks are capable of the same work loads. Only difference would be the coils vs leafs. Other than that, I can't see how this video shows any kind of superiority for Ford vs Dodge. Personally I'd take leafs for heavy loads. Then again payload for both trucks are close enough, and both trucks are capable of towing over 8k which is my limit (or the limit of the hitch or reciever).
Yeah I had to watch it a couple of times only to realise that bed wobble due to frame flex is identical for both trucks. Vehicular instability is more driver-related than equipment-related. In my opinion, the Chevy did the best as far as frame flex.
Chad really got quiet when I pointed out how obvious it was that there are multiple clips cut together.
Also Fords camera action at 29 makes the viewer look at the better/closer picture which is the Dodge. Both trucks are going through that right now but because of the camera angles it makes Dodge look bad to the normal consumer.
The normal consumer doesn't know however that the BED tilting back and forth apart from the cab IS A GOOD THING.

Driving in a hurricane is probably not the best idea. I drive in Saskatchewan, (it's in Canada for those who don't know) and it has (in my opinion) the most varied weather you can drive in. There's snow, ice, hail, wind, rain, freezing rain. The temperature varies from 42+C, (about 106 F I think) to -50C, (about -55 I think). I guess my point is, Saskatchewan has some wild driving conditions.

They're all good tough solid trucks. This is a video made by Ford on their proving grounds, of course they're gonna make their product look better, it'd be the same thing if GM or Dodge did this video. People buy what they prefer. When I was in the market for a new truck (Feb.09), I looked and test drove all three bands, can't take nothing away from all three, but in the end... I preferred the Dodge, and thats why I have a 09 Ram crew cab 4x4 with HEMI sitting in my driveway!

Don't get me wrong, i like the dodge too. But my Mom has driven a couple of Dodges, and they have tended to have reliability problems. Fords are always solid, and that's one of many things that I love about Ford.

my neighbor has a 99 ram 1500 4x4 with a 5.9 v8, it has over 400,000 miles (no its not a diesel) on it and mechanical its great, cant say the same about anything else, the grill and exhaust system feel off, the interior is crap, but it is a beast

I must say, both trucks appeared identical on this run. Certainly both of these trucks are capable of the same work loads. Only difference would be the coils vs leafs. Other than that, I can't see how this video shows any kind of superiority for Ford vs Dodge. Personally I'd take leafs for heavy loads. Then again payload for both trucks are close enough, and both trucks are capable of towing over 8k which is my limit (or the limit of the hitch or reciever).

Yeah I had to watch it a couple of times only to realise that bed wobble due to frame flex is identical for both trucks. Vehicular instability is more driver-related than equipment-related. In my opinion, the Chevy did the best as far as frame flex.

Chad really got quiet when I pointed out how obvious it was that there are multiple clips cut together.
Also Fords camera action at 29 makes the viewer look at the better/closer picture which is the Dodge. Both trucks are going through that right now but because of the camera angles it makes Dodge look bad to the normal consumer.
The normal consumer doesn't know however that the BED tilting back and forth apart from the cab IS A GOOD THING.

It gets cold as he'll here!!! Back home where I'm from in Mississippi it may get 20 F. But usually stays about 40 F during the winter. I didn't drive in the hurricane because I wanted to. I did it for the safety of others.

Driving in a hurricane is probably not the best idea. I drive in Saskatchewan, (it's in Canada for those who don't know) and it has (in my opinion) the most varied weather you can drive in. There's snow, ice, hail, wind, rain, freezing rain. The temperature varies from 42+C, (about 106 F I think) to -50C, (about -55 I think). I guess my point is, Saskatchewan has some wild driving conditions.
