  • it has a HUD :O dear santa

  • WOAH THEY HAD THOSE IN THE BOEING HOUSE COLORS?MAN!

  • its so weird how you can see right through the engines

  • damn it sounds like a ferrari lol

  • @kush997 yeah

  • it is a beautiful plane

  • All right, who invited Nascar to Paine Field?

  • cant wait till i am in one of these.

  • 0:22 Small screen on left next to the primary display is that showing Windows Xp screen saver?

  • @CssniperAus Think so nice to know what programs they use

  • LOVE IT

  • THE BEST AIRCRAFT EVER!! I BOUGHT A GEMINIJETS B787 FROM UNITED AIRLINES AND I LOVE IT

  • @boeing787thebest damn your lucky and wealthy because they are beautiful and cost alot

  • still major flaws...they r being worked on though!

  • ...another 10 months delay for Boeing's nightmare-liner... several companies canceled their orders and are suing Boeing for the delay... no more sales since early this year.... good look with this "platic-bomber"... - Airbus is up and away :-)

  • @volker001 well maybe they are a few mounths behined but other airlines arnt sueing them.

  • Looks awesome! I am excited for when it starts service. Props to both Airbus and Boeing for their newest outstanding planes! I love them both.

  • i'd hump that

  • cant wait till qantas buy next year first airline will be

  • nice i love boeing is better than airbus

  • It's really amazing how quiet this airplane is!

  • @Sting3733

Thats because of the British Rolls Royce engines

  • @Sting3733 yeah I was sitting at my house and I heard a faint sound of engines so I look in the distance I saw nothing then I look up and there it is at about 1000ft I was like damn thats quiter the the planes at 30000ft those planes I can hear perfectly. but the 787 is louder on takeoff.

  • this plane is a beauty just like her big sister 747-8f

  • 1:45 sounds like a hot rod

  • what is the name of the things that the guy is cleaning the glass thing

  • @GameVidsHD

    A cloth

  • Those engines sound like an electric lawnmower. Kinda.

  • the front of the plane reminds me of the De Havilland Comet and the Sud Aviation Carevelle.

  • Superb!

  • BOEING is still the BENCHMARK,,,,,the most prestigious name in civil avation......

  • And in military aviation.

  • Right, like the B-29 and B-52.

  • Or the C-17 Globemaster III, any of the tankers, or the AWACS or STARS built on the 707(!) platform.

  • as usual boeing has once again made me a beliver in avation... that new 787 is a hellva plane and beats airbus to shit...

i hope the new airforce ones planes that in the making will look like these new dreamliners..

  • Get a friend. The 380 is still the best plane in whole history of aviation.

Also they are for different purposes, the 340 will comete with the 787.

Airbus has a more reliable fleet, and Boeing has more experience, what makes this 787 a really nice piece of artwork.

Both constructors have their good and their bad things, none of them is better.

So don't start with your bullshit.

  • you mean the 350 will compete with the 787. the 340 is old now and will be replaced soon by the 350.

  • Maybe you could tell us why the 380 is the best plane in the whole history of aviation?

  • @Allanvh5150 dude the gay380 sucks it's to big and airbus builds it and it was a stolen from Mcdonnell douglas. the original was the MD12 look it up.

  • @yoyoyoyoshua Was I disagreeing?

  • @Artikbot Dude the a380 is not the best plane in history. You are only saying that because it is large and European (read not American). It has not earned the right to be called the best plane in aviation history because A. there is nothing revolutionary about it, it is an evolution of the B747 B. it is only been in service for like 2 years hand has maybe 200 orders.

  • @Artikbot The 737 is an outstanding plane because it has operated by more than 500 airlines, with over 8,000 aircraft ordered, & 42 years of service. The B747 and 707 were revolutionary. In 2 years of limited service, and an evolutionary role, the a380 is not the best.BTW Boeing is not going to build a new jumbo because air travel is changing to a more point to point rather than a hub to hub.

  • I want one.

  • @suspendmeassholes Dream on :) Haha

  • Wow the wheel bearing in the last of video sound like NASCAR.

  • THE PLANE IS NOT TOO BIG.Maybe a private pilot or airlines who are offer a short route will interest in it.Or a airlines want replace they old plane to a modern jet

  • Boring Flight Deck. Night looking on the outside. Dissapointing on the FD.

  • Love this plane =)

  • of course, part of the benefit to test taxi-ing, you don't have to worry about test- crash-landing? ;-)

    Merry Christmas, ya'll!

  • driving that thing without flying it must be like making out with a girl only to find out she doesn't actually want to go all the way. If that was me, I'd just crank the levers, pull the yoke and BAM!

  • Oh man look at that beauty. <3

  • pause at 0:22 Even in the air plane they use Windows lol not mac! btw mac are better

  • Because Windows will always be better than Mac, mac is for stylish and retarded people lol, Windows is for stylish but professional people =D

  • i live in everett and was at the first flight. its nice to see it finaly fly

  • Awesome plane!

  • i have been following the story since 07, Im so glad they made the maiden yesterday!!!!

I am obsessed with airliners and i have to say this places the bar higher, notice the wings, how they look so efficient!!!!!>

    I LOVE IT!

  • awesome sound from those RRs at 1:43!

  • got that right

  • Why are videos only blank screens or columns of useless blue text running down the screen? I can no longer watch anything, and YouTube's help is no help.

  • That's one beautiful airplane! Hope to see it soon!

  • I have worked on my 787 Dreamliner for years, sometimes calling it my 787 Nightmare Liner due to the hard work involved but this airplane will be the best airplane that has ever been built!

  • jam6255,

Watching the bypass slide back. Is that a reverse thruster on a Hi-bypass engine? If so, is this the first hi-bypass to have reverse thrusters?

  • High bypass engines have reversers, like the 777 engines

  • danielcarlostan,

I've seen the defusers that extend down into the bypass, like on the C-5. I never thought of them as true reversers as you would see on low-bypass turbo-fans (clamshell) or turbo-jets. These are very cool though. Thanks for the feedback.

  • I don't know. Google it.

  • Track the Dreamliner from my channel. Look in the description.

  • This airframe is outfitted with the Rolls Royce Trent 1000's. The production models that are being ordered will have the choice of either the Rolls Royce or the new GE GEnx.

I work for Southwest as a mechanic and I nearly cried when I saw it take flight, in fact all of us watched it in the break room! lol

I am still partial to working on the narrow bodies, but I'd love to back to Boeing Maintenance school to work on that baby!

(I am also in the Illinois Army National Guard... work on UH-60s)

  • why fly when you can just drive the plane like that?

  • Nope they just simply forgot to remove the price tag

  • Does anybody know anything about the engines? (aside from the fact they're enormous.)

  • i think there made by rolls Royce not sure

  • They are - ANA the launch Airline has the ordered with RRs, that's why this plane has them.

  • It Flys! It Flys!

  • That little black bag contains the Last will and testament of the flight crew.

    ... Just in case...

  • This makes me horny :)

  • @BlazingPuppies I feel the same way.

  • That black thing is a tiny parachute.

  • what's that thing hanging of the top of the tail? it's a little black thing

  • It's like a sensor or something.

  • static.. sensor?

  • @FS2004looney It's called a Corona - It's for static discharge (negative electrons are "blown-off" by passing air. Also employed as an on-board sensor for the on-board flight-test crew.

  • @FS2004looney It's a trailing cone or drogue, used to stabilize the plastic tube that is reeled out behind the plane in flight for accurate pressure measurements. Only used on test aircraft, or those few production aircraft used in the certification program. I did the analysis for Boeing during the 757/767 flight test program to determine where to place the holes on the tubing for the most accurate pressure readings.

  • pully back on the yoke slightly pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease!!! :(

  • It's really quiet :-)

  • SO HOT

  • XD cnt wait to go on some day!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome! A regional plane without connections, meant to act on reletively small airports. Too bad almost no airline is using them that way. They are meant to have many flights a day, but airlines want to use them on long range flights. I LOVE THE ENGINE SOUND and how quite it is!!!

  • So many are ordering the GE engine now.

Hope we are not polarising into Boeing GE, Airbus RR. I admit to being a Trent fan but let's just wait and give the GE engine a chance - lots of new composite materials it may be the answer to a maiden's prayer or - a BIG problem. GE is soo big they cannot allow failure. Power all the way - sell at under cost price and wait for the lucrative engine maintenance contracts.

  • im an airbus fan and really didnt like this aircraft in the beginning but i think its growing on me....and i like the sound of the engines. Its graceful looking and modern...so i guess i like lol

  • modern is good.

  • the wings are ugly but the cockpit and the rest of the airplane are nice

  • when will it fly?

  • justme228, right at 3/4's the way down the runway ;-)

  • pleased to see this thing is finaly moving :D

  • I want to work for Rolls Royce after i geaduate. They make planes fly.

  • WooooooooW beautiful aircraft i like it ..

    Saudia ariline bought this..

  • that thing almost looks unreal.

  • Its beautiful.. Notice the wings are very flexable?! Awesome! I head the wings are made out of really freaking durable plastic.

  • 0:21 windows???

  • ohhno...it is much bigger than the 737-900, so i vil say its a smaller version of the 777-200

  • Its exactly the same size as the Airbus A330-200. Exactly.

  • its a biggerrrrrr version of the 737-900

  • will we see this plane is the sky one day?

  • of course we will

  • 00:34 the plane is smiles : )

  • its happy to be a boeing!

  • @mohshehri XD ahhaha it has a mouth

  • @shadowhunter388 oh yes boeing and only boeing nothing else

  • @mohshehri ha ha I bet XD

  • Hmmm, weird somehow the cockpit didn't look as futuristic as I thought it would, maybe I expected too much.

  • Can you imagine how tempting it must be for the test pilots to just takeoff?

  • @ocsfinest that's exactly what I was thinking

  • @ocsfinest If I was a pilot, I would :)

  • Boeing 787 Dreamliner sure is a small airplane like Boeing 757-200, but BIG ENGINES??? How powerful can that be lol.

  • is just me but see 787 small, 767 its bigger

  • what a buety

  • Atually it does have a RB211 roar at 1:47 !

  • I hope they sound better than them beautiful RB211-535's !

  • can't wait to see the stretch version of this aircraft

  • How Far Can This Plane Go?

  • about 8,000 miles

  • unbelieveable sound at 1:47..can't wait to see her stretch her wings

  • its very quiet

  • This thing is Quiet as hell XD

  • no i actually like this plane

  • Im suprised this hasn;t been delayed...again. Cant wait to the release of that 787. 5/5

  • Boeing needs to hurry up before they loose ALL their orders.

  • fail it's Lose not Loose. =] But yeah they do need to speed it up

  • lol. cheers mate! typo, didn't even notice it...

  • Come on takeoff already!!!! Cool video!!!
