Instead of appearing at his own impeachment to set the record straight he's making an irrelevant plea to the public by going on talk shows and saying he'd considered Oprah for the seat and asks, "What happened to the presumption of innocence?"

Oh it's alive and well. It's just that the presumption of innocence ends when they have the evidence on tape where he tries to sell the seat.

The larger issue is that people want politicians they can trust. He's not that, and doesn't get it.
